The new Apple Pencil now charges magnetically while attached to the side of the iPad Pro so using in small spaces has also been improved. Theres no more cap to loose while charging and the battery is almost always full as been recharged while stored. The accuracy and speed is exactly the same as before which was fast and accurate. Excellent product, but costly
The 2nd generation pencil is a great match for the newest iPads (late 2018). It is a pleasure to work with and very simple to keep fully charged. It would be even better if customers who only had occasional use for it could justify spending such a premium price to buy it. As is, it probably makes sense only for people who really need it or have money to burn on another well-made proprietary Apple accessory.

Great Product!
The new Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is works extremely well. It is a great addition to my new iPad Pro 11. Together they make it easy to take notes of meeting and do things just like using a pencil and paper. But with this, I can take my notes directly to my computer. I plan to purchase the iPad keyboard that goes with my iPad Pro 11. This will allow me to do every more with less effort.

TIP & Disregard the haters
Tip: sometimes you have to put the pencil back on the charging side to reconnect and tap pair when it gets disconnected. But this is rare. And personally I have 2 iPads so I have to do this regularly. Dont get frustrated. Also sometimes force quitting the app because its frozen not because stylus doesnt work. So dont listen to the bad reviews.

Apple Pen great addtlion to Ipad
Started using the pen, it is really a great addition, so many more things that you can do opened up many more ways to use your IPad. I would recommend it to anyone who owns the IPad, and the ability to keep it charged is a great feature, you just have to be careful it can get knocked of if you are not watching.

No. 2 Pencil
Works better than any digital pencil or stylus that I have tried. Very intuitive and I like the way it attaches to the iPad and charges at the same time. Apple missed the opportunity here to make this a classic yellow No. 2 pencil. At least I wont be constantly breaking the point off and have to sharpen it.

Not an artist or illustrator but love the pencil
So worth it. For years I used a Bamboo stylus with my iPad and I liked how the screen stayed cleaner without so much finger contact. But the Apple Pencil (2nd gen) is even better. Now I can use handwriting apps and the quality is as good as my penmanship. The pencil is precise, versatile and easy to use.

Significant Improvement
I love the new pencil. The wireless charging is awesome. The former method of plugging it in to charge it was not convenient at all. Also, the writing quality has been significantly improved. If you are looking to buy an iPad and pencil, I would go with the newest just to be able to buy this pencil.

Improved design
This is lighter than the first generation pencil. It's also easier to charge, no need for a separate charging cable, no charging cap to lose. Feels more like a real pencil. I liked the first gen pencil, but this is much better, of course only for the newer gen ipads.

Like the Pencil
There is so much you can do with this thing. PDF document I received I can now sign and forward in a few easy steps. No need to save the file anywhere to do so. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the price. Over $100 for a pencil is steep but I have gone paperless.

It does what they say,,,
Great for Lightroom editing on iPad, probably for drawing too. Nominal utility outside these areas (notepad on locked iPad at night?!). Definitely an extra Looking forward to when more apps can use the capabilities, like when app could transcribe writing into text

Big update from the old model
This Apple pencil is what a device like this should be to me. It does not have the cap which can get lost or bent (if dropped). It clips to the screen and charges wirelessly. I am still learning how to use the pencil to its fullest extent, but I really like it.

Love it
The Apple Pencil 2 both works well and besides being useful is fun. Im very glad I decided to get it and very much enjoy having it. One suggestion - be sure the tip is securely fastened in so it doesnt accidentally fall off. I love mine.

Pen is very well designed. The magnetic connection to the top of the iPad is genious! If you have an iPad that works with the new 2nd generation, I recommend getting this one. You will not regret it!

Perfect for music
I am using the Apple Pencil on music scores that I download on my Ipad Pro. It works perfectly. I can erase, make corrections and additions, etc. It is very easy to use.

2nd Gen Only
For 20 bucks more get the second generation. It has no noticeable lag and attaches to the magnetic area on the iPad Pro. Worth the purchase and a must have for the iPad.

Great stylus
I like the easy swap to the eraser. this recharges by just being held on magnetically. be careful if you are also using the keyboard as it is easy to knock off.

Super experience - upgrade from Gen1

HOW CAN APPLE MAKE A PRODUCT THAT IS NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE. ONLY WORKS WITH THE LATEST IPAD PRO AND ONLY A COUPLE OF THEM. BE SURE TO CHECK
