Really Amazing Directionality
-With noise canceling headphones, you really only here the sound being picked up in the range of the mic. -Really not meant for use with a DSLR as it is almost a foot long.

Reach out and touch someone
I use the ME67 in film and video production to fill the gap in natural sound that lav mics can't capture, or when the use of lav mics is not practical. The physical and dynamic range and clarity is astounding. The spot description is spot-on, as this mic truly focuses on what it is aimed at with surprising isolation. Without the rolloff switch selected on the K6, however, it will pick up any hand movement on a boompole, so it's best used with experienced crew.

Great, reasonably priced mic
I bought this mic as part of the ME67/K6 and boom pole bundle to be used with a Sound Devices 302 and Zoom H4n as my entry level location audio kit. For the price, I have been very pleased with the sound quality the ME67 provides. I have mostly been working within the confines of a sound stage but when I have used the mic outdoors it has provided good isolation of the talent's voice in a fairly loud environment. I have noticed that the K6 power module does add some noise when using AA batteries, so stick to phantom power if possible to keep things clean.

For Recording Bird Calls
I use this microphone for recording bird calls in nature. It is excellent. I have not used other microphones for recording bird calls so I cant compare.

I like this mic
I use this mic mainly for recording natural sounds to accompany photographs that I take. Much of my recording has been done within earshot of automobile traffic, but I find that with some care for how I position myself I am able to get a recording that it is clean enough to be usable. I took an ME 66 with me to Germany last year and was recording bird song in city parks in Munich, with nice results, but the ME 67 is much more powerful. The signal from the ME 67 isolates the sounds much better.
