Excellent -- quality construction and sound
This is solid, well-built, convenient to use and sounds very good. I'm typically using one or more lavaliers (AT803 or Shure SM93), but when I need something to mount on a camera shoe, I'd been relying on a Rode Videomic. This sounds way better than the Rode, which is decent for the price but has a compressed, mid-rangey sound by comparison. Weak output and no low battery indicator
First and foremost, I have to use this microphone in it's +10db setting with the camera set to +6db sensitivity to get a decent recording level, and it's still not that great. Second, when the battery starts getting low, the mic gets noisy. If you're not listening on headphones (which isn't always possible or practical for me to do), you won't know there is anything wrong until you play back your video. It Match Up To SONY FDR-AX53 4K. Video Camera
It started out with off brand decent stereo mic that my Sony FDR-AX53 has major microphonic noise from the design of my camcorder. I am pleased with the quality of this made in P.I. item. The studs to change function, on /off/ plus or minus 10 db, high cut filter are easy to use and the on flash item for ON is no problem. ( Something others seem to be bothered by). However I must say that so far, the cardoid pattern of the channels picks up a lot of exteraneous noise and the isolator rubbers do not do a lot. Greatly enhances sound on camcorder and DSLR!
Bought one at "Deal Zone" price in 2015, mostly because it was inexpensive, and loved what it did for the sound in videos on both my camcorder (Canon Vixia HF R700) and DSLR (Nikon D5200)! Awesome Microphone!
I use this on a Nikon D810 DSLR camera. I also have the Nikon Microphone and the D810 on board mic to compare. The two Nikon's mirror each other, recorded sound is about identical. And the SCS-98 totally kills the Nikon's. It is not just better, it is amazingly better! Clear sound, and serious stereo sound separation, even with voice recordings. Quality mic for DSLR video
I bought this mic on sale from B&H, without any reviews, so I figured I'd take a chance. For the price it could not be beat. As soon as I received it I compared it to my Rode VideoMic Pro and I have to say I liked the audio this mic recorded a lot more. It's clean with no his or static. Well constructed of sturdy plastic , good sound.
I can not compare with the best high price microphones used for serious audio. Though I have a Sennheiser mono microphone which is metal and does not outshine this Phillipine made product. i like the very very light weight, and its small form which does not block the LCD nor finder. I am using on a Lumix with 2.5 mic input so needed a ten dollar adapter. Initial tests show clean noise free sound of human voices. So far so good. Well packaged in foam box and with a thread adapter. I am using a Vello flat flash bracke vs the hot shoe. Balances well that way.

Great Microphone
I am using this microphone with my Nikon D7200. You just plug it in and it works fine. It picks up much less wind noise than the built in camera microphone. I also have the windjammer for it, but have not tried that out. Fidelity is very good, and it doesn't seem to add a lot of weight to the camera, though I keep the camera on a monopod, where the weight is of less concern. Be aware that the power light only blinks briefly when you turn it on. It does not stay on. This conserves battery power.

the mic works fine BUT....
the mic works fine. no issues however, the seal on the box was broken and it wasnt wrapped securely in the box. it appeared to be a used return. ive heard others complain about BH selling used items as BNIB but this is my first experience. in all fairness to BH i have been very pleased with my used purchases. they all have looked new. so im not sure if this was a mix up or not. ill continue to purchase from BH butim going to have to keep a closer eye on my purchases.

Senal SCS-98 Video Stereo Mic
I have only used this mic a few times since I purchased it. The first time I used it was to video the performance of a local high school jazz band at a local university jazz festival. The sound as recorded by the mic was excellent for the entire performance. The conductor and the band members were delighted with the results. I am looking forward to using it to video/audio record more music events. Excellent mic!!!

Surprised by the sound quality and construction

Good mike
I wanted a mike that was stereo and I could bring closer to the sound source (in my case It was speeches). I bought the pearstone extension cord and they worked very well. the speech was very clear and the bass roll off switch really helped for a nearby low frequency hum that was in the room. The only con i could think of is that when turned on, The LED lights up for a second and turns off.

This mic rocks!
More than I expected in this price range. Can't say enough about it and the audio quality is excellent. I do a lot of outdoor video shoots...The dead kitten cover blocks out wind noise extremely well and I have found no problems with that. The mounting is not exceptional but the cushioning with a rubber band sound barrier system keeps vibration from causing any noise problems. 5 stars!

great buy
I had been looking for a good affordable on camera mic. I stumbled upon the senal microphone. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I'm happy I put the extra money into this purchase. I use the microphone on every shoot and it has never failed. I'm still using the same battery. So the battery life is excellent. I haven't yet found anything to complain about with this mic.

It worked
I am a still photo guy, not a video guy. I had to video a church event and had no external mic. My on camera mic was decent but I tried this mic and the sound was clearer in my tests before the event. I am also not a audio tech so take it for what it is worth. I now have a connection to the soundboard so I dont use this very often anymore. It is great to have as backup though.

Solid video mic for the right price
I got this to record a more accurate scratch track during filming with dual system audio and found that sometimes the feed from this mic was better than the shotgun mic. It does wonders for DSLRs with lousy preamps and has a shock mount built in that works but doesnt increase the size. Smart design and a good sound. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]

Pretty good unit
Used several times under different conditions. The unit is easy to use for beginners but the manual provided little technical details to allow for fully utilization of the unit. Wish there are LEDs indicating the battery life. Windy outdoor is most challenging even with the windsock. So got to pick your spot and stay away from direct wind. Indoor worked the best.

Same or not as good as the Canon 6d internal microphone.
I very much wanted to like this microphone because of the price point, but when I compared it to the Canon 6D internal microphone it wasnt any better or was worse. That means that the Canon 6d has a good internal microphone or the Senal microphone is nothing special. I returned this microphone and purchased a Rode pro microphone.

Shock Mount is the worst
I have no problem with the mike itself. But the shock mount is an absolute pain. If you are a someone like me who shoots on the go, you are inevitably going to knock the mic off the mount. Putting it back is practically impossible. And after a couple of times trying to jamb the mic in the rubber gaskets, they will brake.

Received a damaged Microphone..
I was so excited to have this microphone for the event planned over coming weekend and surprised with the one I received as it wont even switch on.. The power (LED) light itself never getting on and not sure how the store guys sent it to me without any validations.. I am totally disappointed with this

Very Good All Around Mic
For the price point, this is an excellent mic. It is a vast improvement for any camcorder, DSLR or Mirrorless camera. It is light and compact and very user friendly with the controls in plain site on the left side. I am no pro, but for the hobbiest or experienced amateur this mic is an essential.

great for outdoor sporting events
This microphone provides great audio for the price. I use it to create golf videos and it picks up the discussions as the round progresses. I just wish the indicator light stayed on. I haven't run out of power, but I keep a spare battery and turn it on and off just to verify its working

Great little stereo mic!
Great little mic that sounds good and offers stereo for a reasonable price. Build quality is very good. The backside sticks out a little too far to easily use the view finder. The power on light does not remain lit when using, hard to tell if microphone is on or battery has died.
