Noise cancellation is excellent and the features (gestures to control volume, play/pause and mute) make a big difference. Connectivity is consistent and I can walk around the house without having my phone on me the whole time. Calls are crystal clear and callers haven’t noticed any difference in sound quality using the built-in mics. The design is sleek & comfortable to wear, even on much longer journeys. I’ve had a load of different headsets over the years and these are the best by far.

After researching wireless bluetooth noise cancelling headphones for circe £200, i settled on these. Since purchasing them i have not been dissappointed. They have excellent noise cancelling, were very easy to setup and are very comfortable to wear. i've also been very impressed with the sound quality, great for all the differing genres of music i like to listen to. i also connected them to the living room tv for watching films, and they perform excellently for these as well. overall i am very pleased and glad i purchased them.

I've previously owned a pair of Bose QC35 Noise Cancelling headphones and sold them as I found them to be uninspiring and uncomfortable to wear for prolonged periods of time. Having seen these in a black Friday deal I decided to take the plunge suffer hearing from friends just how good they are. Indeed, they do not disappoint. The noise cancelling and sound quality is superb and most importantly they are comfortable to wear for prolonged periods of time!

Best headphones I’ve ever bought hands down! I’ve bought and tried many! Very comfortable over the ear and can be used for long periods. Sound quality is unrivalled! It cancels out sound so well that all you can hear is the music playing even on 50-60% volume. Noise cancelling is out of this world! You can literally just use them to cancel noise out and suddenly your world because almost completely silent. Also, great battery life and solid/sturdy design!

I usually stick to my two ‘go to’ brands - Apple and Bose, Apple for most tech and Bose for audio. This time I decided to put my brand loyalty aside for a little while and let the reviews guide me. The choice between the Bose 700 and these headphones is a tight one and there were more than a couple of times that I was very close to clicking buy on the Bose. I went with the top of the range Sony headphones in the end and I’m so glad I did, comfort, sound, noise cancelling and style. 10/10!

These headphones are top notch and easily the best noise cancelling headphones that money can buy, if your someone that appreciates some piece and quiet then your going to love these headphones. I was on the London Underground train and it makes it feel like your in your bedroom because there is absolutely no noise. The audio on the headphones are unbelievable the bass will blow your head clean off if you want it to. The app customisation features also makes this worth the price.

These are incredible! The app gives you controls for features such as setting the amount of ambient noise. When the battery runs out they still work as wired headphones. Sound quality is rich, crisp and vibrant with deep and punchy bass. PROS Excellent noise cancellation Fantastic sound Comfortable Easy to use Great features Protective case CONS Can only remember one Bluetooth device at a time.

These are great headphones. Quality built, great sound. The only con is that you can't switch between devices as the headphones can be paired with one device at the time. So can't easily switch between my mobile and TV for example. They need to be unpaired with one device than paired with another one , so annoying. That is why I stopped using then to watch TV. My daughter got bose headphones and she can have two devices paired at the same time and switches them easily .

I bought these headphones after much research and I’m so glad I did. They noise cancellation is amazing!! The n/c doesn’t cancel out voices completely but does a good enough job that I don’t seem to notice. Comfort wise I have used these to watch several films in a row and have never had an issue. The one touch feature is amazing and makes it easy to hear surroundings when you need to. I have compared these to the Bose competitors and they are very similar but Sony wins it for me.

For the past few years I've been using a set of senheiser ANC headphones. They're supposed to be over ear but clamped the ears so couldn't wear for long due to discomfort. These Sony headphones are superb. They fully cover my ears and are extremely comfortable. Noise cancelling is second to none and rated better than the Bose qc35 by what hi-fi. So comfortable, excellent noise cancelling and they handle most codecs. On top of this they fast charge and have just excellent full sound.

Bought these based on an excellent review elsewhere. Loving the quality of the noise cancelling and audio quality. Not so keen on the "required" use of a smartphone app to handle the pairing in configuration but it's possible to pair with other devices (documentation for this isn't included in the box). Touch controls are quite handy, though "next track" doesn't work for me all the time. The headphones are quite bulky in use, and the headband is a LOT bigger than I expected.

Needed a new set of wireless headphones are my AirPods had given up. Was initially going to get a set of AirPods Pro, but was worried about whether they would stay in my ears due to how they’re now designed So I plumped for these. Everything has been real good with them thus far. My only niggle is that they can become a tad uncomfortable if you wear them for an extended amount of time. Other than that, spot on

Having upgraded from a pair of relatively cheap Philips noise-cancelling headphones, I can say that the Sony WH1000-XM3s are truly a revelation! Superb noise cancelling easily drowns out the sound of noisy neighbours and domestic appliances like washing machines, while the general sound quality is first-rate. Also has connectivity for mobile phones etc, though I’m using purely for music and TV listening so haven’t tried that. Battery life is great too - would highly recommend!

Splashed out on these headphones in advance of extended working from home and they work a treat. Noise cancelling is very good, and sound quality is excellent. Premium look and feel as well. Downsides are slight discomfort after long time wearing with glasses, and the companion app provided isn't that intuitive. But I think worth the money.

Having previously owned both the Bose QC35’s and AirPod Pros these are leaps and bounds away from the Sony’s. The noise cancelling is the best on the market and you are able to adapt the ambient pressure for flights etc too. The Sony app which is free to download allows you to completely customise the equaliser too. They are super comfortable to wear and have a very premium feel. And to top it all off the battery lasts for 30 hours on a single charge. You will not better these.

Where my previous over-ear headphones were agony after an hour, these Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones remain comfortable, staying on my head for hours at a time while I work from home. The sound quality is excellent, my only complaint being a slightly muddied performance during certain parts of a few raucous heavy guitar tracks. And noise cancellation does a great job of nullifying the hum of my desktop PC fans, and the noise of vehicles and power tools outside my window.

Really great noise cancelling in these, background humdrum from roads and machinery is dissapeared!! Sound quality is nice, maybe not audiophile nice but you're paying for noise cancelling here so no complaints. The only reason these have lost a star is on the build material quality - they are very plastic and for the price i feel these should made from slightly more luxurious or hardwearing material, these likely wont take much of a beating especially if you want to wear them outdoors etc.

Bob on and well worth the money. Highs, mids and lows present with good clarity and no bass flutter that I've noticed. The swipe features are a bit awkward at first but ok in general. Top notch noise cancelling. Cupping the right ear cup to allow ambient sound in is great when in a shop or for a quick chat on the street. Unless you need something really high end for work or whatever the casual user might not notice the difference to the next big step up. Basically, Beats=grim. These=tidy

This product was not cheap and they broke after 4 days. They won’t switch on. I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions on the Sony website and they still won’t power on. Due to the current COVID-19 situation I am unable to exchange them in store until the stand alone stores reopen. Therefore, I am now left with a very expensive ornament. I’m terribly disappointed.
