KRK KNS 8400
Very happy! Awesome cans!
I am a videographer, editor, and music producer as well as a huge music listener. These headphones are fantastic. I have been using KRK products for the past 5 years and have always felt that their products produce very accurate representations of the program material. That being said, these headphones are no exception. First off, they are very comfortable. Before I even took the cable out of the packaging I wore the headphones for about 5 minute... Show More

Best headphones I've ever owned.
TL;DR - Excellent pair of headphones that makes music sound clear and rich. They aren't big on bass, but that's good because you can hear everything else that bass would drown out. Super comfortable too, even with glasses on. For the longest time I've been an earphone user, mainly Skullcandy's. I've always loved the pairs I've had because they would isolate a lot of external sounds, and the bass response was great. I was never picky with the qua... Show More

surgical instrument for mastering
I've been trying to consolidate project for some time in Beyerdynamics DT770Pro250 and on Yamaha HS7 speakers. Every time I finished mastering and send it to another system to play it sounded harsh and overloaded in HMF range. Or conversely when I try to add compression or spectrum shaper in that range it's becoming too much dull. With KNS8400 this job become very easy. Amazing price and value
I use those headphones on a daily basis for over 2 years. I am a musician myself and I use them when mixing some tracks or while playing with others. they are very comfortable and the cable length is long , plus you have an extension that includes a volume control which can be attached if need it . The sound is balanced and makes them very enjoyable at the same time. It's a KRK and sound wise you know what to expect. I love the fa... Show More

I do a lot of mixing in the evening so use headphones a lot so as not to disturb next door. They claim to be like studio monitors for your ears & I can safely say they are not wrong these sound supurb clear un-coloured sound ! Wonderful - very happy
I use these when editing video and can't monitor in the room. I have been very happy with the sound quality - better than the Sony cans I was using.Sound is clean with good highs and mids. Bass isn't over the top and seems to deliver a true representation. As a bonus, when traveling, they twist to fold flat into the provided bag. The sound delivered while on a plane is not the same as noise cancelling headphones (which I don't like for studio work... Show More

Refreshing
These things are amazing for the price. Are they going to compete against high end headphones? Of course not. But I doubt you'll find much better at this price point. Frequency response is pretty flat and the range is surprisingly good. There isn't much isolation from outside noise which is a drawback but for me that's not a problem since a lot of my mixing is done at night with no other noise going on around me. They have a bit of weight to them... Show More

Probably my best headphone purchase so far
These cans are WONDERFUL for recording as there is virtually no bleed. They are also SUPER comfortable, and great for laptop music creation and rough mixes (mixes I have done on these have translated very well indeed to a large (HUGE) system as this studio I frequent in the South of Spain. The feel of them is ever so slightly 'cheap' and they don't really fold away to a compact unit but given the most important benefits (great sound and... Show More

Best Headphones I've used
Extremely Comfortable headphones which I wear for hours without any pain or annoyance. Very Clear sound and well worth the investment, you can hear a wide range of sounds, I feel it has a lot of Mid range. The cables can be removed, which is extremely worth while as if it gets damaged, it can be replaced. I cannot find any cons in this product. Perhaps since they are an American product it could be somewhat troublesome to find replaceme... Show More

Great buy!
Buying headphones or speakers online is a gamble. It's always advisable to hear them first before buying. My gamble paid off with these great sounding headphones. There is also a bit more clarity in the midrange compared to my old Bose set. They fit nicely over my ears and the balance through the frequencies is good. The build quality is excellent and compares with my KRK Rokit5 monitors. They come with a very nice storage/transport bag and it lo... Show More

Everything I Wanted
I produce electronic music using Ableton and was looking for a good set of Headphones to use throughout the entire process of producing, mixing, and mastering. These things sound amazing, are built well, and are all around comfortable. Which is everything I could have asked for. The cables disconnect from the Headphones, and they fold flat for easy storage and portability. They also run at low enough ohms to be used by an portable media device are perfectly acceptable levels. There is nothing I don't love about these headphones. And for $ they were a steal!

Great heaphones, Great supplier
Bought these based on recommendation from RecordingRevolution.com. They sound great. SUPER comfortable. B&H got them to me very quickly. Lowest price on the 'net. Can't beat it. Also, now I see why people are saying, I wish it came with a shorter cable. The cable has a 1/8 headphone connector (with 1/4 adapter) on one side - BUT the end that connects to the headphone is a smaller connector, and has a little locking mechanism. The manual calls it a sub-mini connector. So you can't just use shorter 1/8 to 1/8 cable. Otherwise, I love 'em. I'd buy it again.

Nice headphones
Good headphones. Only problem is these should be little bit louder. I have to turn volume up in my computer and audio interface to get normal loudness. Sound quality is good. Can be used in professional studio but i think that final mixing and mastering should be done with studio monitors because headphones can't deliver speakers feeling. These are studio headphones what will bring that flat sound without boosting bass like consumer headphones but still should be louder in any level (bass, mid, high). Good for live band recordings. And very comfortable.

Very Reccomendable
I am extremely satisfied with the balance of these headphones. I write a lot of music, and I find these as a good substitute when I cannot use powered monitors. I am very pleased with the sound representation, though some research will show these do have some emphasis on bass, which I'd think is not an issue to most considering the average user does not want to invest in an expensive signal amplifier that would be necessary to represent the bass if they did make these totally flat. Short version, very happy with the product.

Great Headphones
I am not a headphone expert - but these sound great! They are very comfortable and the sound is clean - no hissy treble and no thumpy bass. The earcups seal out external sound so well that I can yell and not hear my own voice while music is playing. I compared the sound to my Sony MDR-7506 headphones and there was No comparison. The KRKs are so much better. I love the attached volume control dial. And it even comes with a nice leather carrying bag.

Perfect Monitoring Headphones!
I've tried countless models of headphones over the years, and spent a considerable amount of time trying to find the best headphones for monitoring and mixing available. The KRKs give the clearest, most accurate reference I've ever heard, revealing even the most subtle details that are normally lost in other headphones. I have a project studio at home in a less-than-ideal room, and these headphones have made mixing a pleasure!

"+" High quality product, perfect details in panorama, mids, highs, comfortable and for a good price. Good acoustic insulation. "-" Some of the guys tested these headphones and found them very hot after wearing for a some time. But I think this is a usual thing for a closed type headphones. Low end is very flat or ... Great Sounding Headphones
I love these headphones. To me they sound very very good, very well balanced and with great mids. they don't have an amazing response on the basses butstill they translate very well and are extremely comfortable. They leak like hell so no really suitable for tracking, even though I like to have a bit of leaking in my voice or gtrs takes so...work fine for me.

Stellar headphones for the price!
Stellar sounding cans! Especially for the price. The low end response and reach is fantastic! I'm giving them a bit of time, I've read they open up even more. They do sound like you're sitting in front of your monitors (save hearing the room, but it's a small sacrifice). I'm stoked to get to know these puppies and finally start mixing on them!
