it's actually really cool and useful if you want to make blippy techno music but not as easy as I excepted to get clean chords out of it. the quantizing is either on or off so it's not so easy to make play polyphonic melodies. though I bet with a midi keyboard in flux mode (quantize off) that gets easier. it's seems to designed for recording your knob twiddling at all times, not to be an instrument. that said, it sounds very nice and is fun to to... Underestimated

Great sound and functionality. This is one of the oldest models so it doesn't get a lot of love but it can do a lot more than you think if you take the time to learn it. All the volcas jam well together and I definitely recommend this, but get the FM first if you have a tight budget.
