Berhinger VD400 Analog Delay

Mar 9, 2014

This analog delay is used to get that snap back needed for finger style picking with a thumb pick. I play a lot of Merle Travis and Chet Atkins style music. The VD400 delay also has some reverb, but does not change the tone of the instrument as other popular delays that I own. That to me is important. I prefer the tone of the instrument and amp come through unchanged. The price is very affordable, another important issue. I would encourage any guitarist to try one and compare. Clean sound, not muddy !

Works great at a phenomenal price.

I play a Strat copy thru a Fender Deluxe Reverb. The analog delay adds to the sound I wanted, Fender blues clean. It's not too noisy. Sure there's some hiss, but it's an analog delay for $25. You can get a bunch of echoey sounds out of it. For the money, this thing is great. In any decade. It may be a bit dark sounding, but I never expected this thing to sound like a Carbon Copy or any other delay costing an additional 100 bucks. Buy it.

Maybe the best $ I ever spent??

For the money this is the best pedal I have ever bought. Sounds very nice clean and distorted. It may be a little less durable than some of the premium brands because it is made of plastic instead of metal, but it is also lighter for that reason too. Unless you jump on this thing or drive your car over it by mistake, I think that this pedal should hold up just fine in the durability catagory.

Perfection at a bargain basement price!

The VD400 Analog is a must when pairing with a tube amp like the '62 Magnatone 415 I play blues harp thru. With minimal delay input I get a beautiful, full throated sound. When I crank the echo up about 40% I can sound almost like a church organ. I am one happy chappy!

Not Bad

For the price it is a great delay. There are many better units but they are all well over $100. This will get you through the gig. Make sure to buy the power supply because it is not included and this thing eats 9 volt batteries for breakfast.

great value

I behringer's foray into making analog pedals is really great. This is an incredible value although i don't think that it's the most durable.. I use it on keybaords and in the studio and it's perfect for that purpose.

Great Pedal

Best value I've seen. I play classic rock and blues. Not a pedal for extreme effects, but one of the most musical pedals I've owned bar none. Biggest steal on the market.
