Finally bought a laptop, and this MacBook Pro has been excellent on the go! Great battery life and and smooth performance for audio editing.

Excellent price, outstanding shipping
I was a bit skeptical about ordering the computer from Texas, but the shipping was fast, and the box was well protected. I have been trying the product for about one day (after having an XPS 13 and Thinkpad X1 Carbon) and I would say that the quality is a little better. Personally, I like they keyboard (better than the XPS, not as good as the Thinkpad). The key-travel is pretty low, but I got used to it pretty quick, however, your mileage may vary. I needed a powerful Unix-based system for my work, specially the 32GB of RAM for virtualization. Everything working good so far!

Very Buggy
Replaced a 2011 model that work but was slowing down. When the 2018 worked it was faster but the frustration it caused me was not worth it. Tried to use it for 3 weeks. Crashed all the time when trying to upload photos or simply move folders. Not a functional machine. Maybe I got a lemon or maybe a something is wrong at Apple. Either way I just returned it for cause and am waiting on a replacement. Fingers crossed the next one will work better.

Worth it
Apple makes a good product here with the 15 inch MacBook Pro. Great processor speed and solid build quality. A little pricey, but worth the money in the long run, as the Apple units tend to last a long time.

Super Fast Workhorse
We needed a laptop that was robust enough to run Final Cut Pro and Lightroom and this one is perfect. The new 8th generation is SO MUCH faster than the previous version and the i7 six core processor never even hiccups even when we are editing RAW 4k video. It is simply a beast!

Solid performer; over-priced
Generally, my experience with this new 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 15 has been expectedly good. It is very fast, quiet and an overall excellent performer. Mediocre computer
Ordering and delivery from B&H was great. Replacing a mid 2012 MacBook Pro Retina that recently died. I had high expectations that my new computer would be significantly better but soon realized the reviews slamming the plastic feeling keyboard are correct. PROS & CONS
Pros: Awesome display / Good graphic card / Fast SSD/ beautiful design. Cons: Overpriced for a 256GB machine (is that storage really pro?) / I really miss the SDCard reader. Buying adapters for everything Its more than annoying/ I miss the charging led and the legs of the wall charger.

Screen has green and red streaks
Opened the box, unwrapped it, turned it on. Green and red streak down the left middle of the screen and at the bottom of the screen. Now I am seeing that B&H doesnt allow returned computers?!? What am I supposed to do with a broken computer? And if they do let me return the laptop... I have to pay to send this broken computer back to them?!? I hope that is not the case... They are closed for the weekend I guess, so I am out while waiting for this to get fixed. Thought the price was worth it but it isnt when I get sent a broken computer.

Much better than the Mac Air
This was a replacement for a 3 1/2 year old MacBook Air. While it is heavier and only has USB-C connectors, it is a much better machine. So much more powerful, especially when using Lightroom and Photoshop. The first shipment disappeared in FedEx land, and when I contacted B&H Photo, they expedited another one to me. They won my loyalty with that example of great customer service!

Wonderful
Firstly the delivery process was phenomenal as it took waaaay shorter than expected. Hats off the BHP for that. The laptop is in itself nothing short of what I expected. The only complain I must say is the battery life on it. I expected a much longer life span as it is quite new and up to date. Other that that I would recommend buying products here to everyone. I even bought the 2016 Model here too.

Premium iMac Performance from a Laptop
Published benchmark tests by others indicated multi-processor performance of this MacBook Pro (2.9 GHz i9 6-core, internal flash drive, 32GB memory) to be as good or better than my 2017 iMac (4.2 GHz i7 4-core, internal flash drive, 64GB memory). Objectively the latest MacBook Pro is a fantastic laptop. Im surprised how much I like the butterfly keyboard, giant touch pad, and touch bar. I like the amount of power this thing packs into the size, and I definitely dont miss the lighted logo on the back. Thought the Touch Bar would be Annoying... But its Great!
I had my 2013 MacBook Pro stolen from my car a week before purchasing this laptop, and I was worried about the upgrade. MacBook Pro Excellent product
Great specification...would advise the purchase of a Hyper Drive to allow multiple USB and SD and HDMI connection. Slim, lightweight and powerful. Battery life is about 4 hrs average currently. The MacBook is easily scratched so a padded case is a wise purchase.

An excellent computer
I needed a new computer. My previous one, also a MacBook Pro, was wearing out. It acted extremely slow most of the time. The 17-inch screen was nice for photos, but I really didnt need such a large screen. My new MacBook Pro is super-fast, and the learning curve isnt steep, because of its similarity to the old one. The external connections to the new one are a bit problematic. I used the USB and CD slots a lot, so I will have to invest some more money to add devices that will make up for what is missing.

Like my old 17 better
I like this, but I dont love it. In an effort to make everything better, I think they have gone too far. I guess Ill get used to it. I hate that I the track pad acts of its own accord sometimes... I have my thumb over it, not touching it, and it changes the screen. If you learned to type rather than hunt and peck, your left thumb if over the pad... not good.
