I do upscalled in home studio recordings. For my artist headphone mixes I send out a mono signal down the TS return of my snake going into the "studio proper". Then I patch into the presonus hp4 from the snake and hit the handy Mono button and I'm able to maximize quality of my headphone mixes. When using cheaper boxes you get signal on only one side of the artists headphones due to my current set up. I think the mono flip adds a ton of utility to this headphone box. Get what ya pay for.

I'm impressed
We're using this in a small audio studio where students prefer to have their multiple radio hosts all crowded in the control room. This gives them individually controlled headphone feeds, and frees up the board's headphone jack, with talkback, to feed the studio space's headphone jacks. Very user friendly for the announcers while giving me the connections and quality I need.

Great amp
I have this connected to my MBox 3G interface, priimarily for use when recording, so that I can create. It is extremely well built and very compact. Two great features are the separate level control and mute button for powered external monitors. There are many cheaper units out there, but this is clearly a case of you get what you pay for.

Nice Lil' Amp
It does what it's supposed to, a nice lil' headphone amp for home recording. As with most Presonus gear... good construction/design, quality components and great pricing. Separate monitor level and mute plus mono switch nice touches. So are the 1/3 rack space size and pre-threaded bottom plate for mounting. Relatively clean and powerful.

Impressive and Effective
PreSonus has done a great job with this amp. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and with clarity and plenty of power. The monitor send is a nice feature not normally found in headphone amps at this price point in my experience, but it is a nice feature, and mutable as well. A very nice amp for the money; I highly recommend it.

Addl Monitor volume function adds good value
It's a great headphone amplifier, but what's also nice is it has one output for monitor speakers, with a volume knob control. We send this to the powered speakers in our school's edit lab, making it very easy to adjust volume independently to the headphones or the speakers at our Instructor station iMac.

Nice fea Headphone Amp
Above all, very useful for working with headphones and studio monitors, without having to plug and unplug. It is not an HI FI device, but it is a good crystal clear and strong amplifier. Again , nice features.

Have had one for 6 years, just bought another two for my other two monitor sets. Great build quality, great pots, nothing failed or scratchy, no noticeable gain loss or noise increase.
