The camera has a really great quality with an affordable price, before getting it I've seen people saying it's not so great in low light however I tried it and it's really outstanding and cinematic, battery life is good enough as well, so I definetely recomend anyone buying in this range of price to get the GH5 without a doubt.

Absolutely amazing
Amazing. So glad I was finally able to get this on such a great deal from B&H here! Im impressed with everything on it, even the menu is slick with the newest firmware. Image quality is fantastic and the autofocus works really well so far (Ill be tweaking some more settings later to test it out more) and so overall, its fantastic!

Whole New World
This goes miles beyond a GH4. I didn't want to love it as much as I do...but I do. I'll keep my GH4s, but this is like a computer with a 1/4 - 20 thread base. Stabilization is amazing, resolution is zoomable in post from the back of a 700 seat theatre. I want another one and will probably succumb.

Great Video Quality
As a start up agency we didn't need to make a massive investment but still wanted high quality. This camera is fantastic.

Great product
I love it, this is a great package deal. This particular camera is highly rated for what I do, church video work. So far it's been great.

Better than I could have hoped for
I bought this two years ago as a student who was had about a year of decent experience under my belt. I have since graduated and landed an internship and now a full time job purely because of my portfolio that i put together with the video work I made using this camera I understand that everyone has different tastes and preferences and a camera is only a tool but this camera has gone above and beyond for me. doing ad work and passion projects i... Even after 2 years it's still has features others want
There is not much I can say about an industry living legend. It raised the bar so high on introduction and with each software release, feature refinement, AF now OK, and quarterly price drops, there is no better time to pick-up this work horse for B-Roll or as your primary. Dress it up with a SmallRig, a Metabones, a Rode or a Sennheiser, lights of your choice, and you my friend are good-to-go! The menu options are crazy in-depth. The button prog... Show More

Suites all my video needs for 2019
My main workflow revolves around video. The GH5 is a workhorse when it comes to all my video needs. There are better choices for photo based cameras out there, but the GH5 takes the cake for video.

Perfect small camera for Commercial video
This camera performs really good in the field and can be paired to bigger systems. Just make sure you are using its highest quality codecs and get good glass. I have to say that the IBIS might be really useful in some situations.

V-LOG is a waste of money
If you are looking to shoot in a Log format do NOT waste your money on the V-Log activation code - it is absolutely horrible. It does not shoot accurately at all and there is no way to color grade the footage without having skin tones look patchy with green and red tints in the shadows. The V-Log upgrade is a complete waste of money and will make your footage un-usable.

Powerhouse video camera
The quality from this camera is absurd. Worth every penny. I could sit a tripod on the beach and film 5 minutes of waves and throw it on the TV and pretend its a window looking onto that beach. What Im trying to say is I love it. If I could re-buy I would have added the VLOG instead of the accessory pack. VLOG images come out similar to RAW and are much easier to edit colors in.

2nd one, for a reason
This is my second GH5. The GH5 is my 1st Mirrorless camera. In my case I run a Metabones Speedboost .71 and Sigma Art glass. Image quality is very good in 90% of situations. Low light good but not Sony level. I shoot lots of concerts and private events and this unit is perfect. The Sigma Art 50-100 is nose heavy on it so be forewarned. 100% reliable, often upgraded for free by Panasonic with lots of flexibility for professional applications. Although I would describe myself as a video creator the still quality is quite nice if you shoot raw and work the image in post.

Horrible Low Light and Autofocus Performance...
I owned this camera for 2 weeks, took it to Yosemite National Park came home with a lot of smooth looking 60p 4k footage - that were out of focus 70% of the time. Overall most of the recordings were completely ruined and I got a big laugh from my family for my new high tech camera. It is a puzzle why Panasonic are insisting on just contrast detect auto-focus while all its competitors have given up on it and has hybrid with phase or dual pixel? an... Show More

Best Bang For Buck Camera
Absolutally blown away with this camera. Amazingly sharp 4K video, and at 60FPS. Wow! Used both as a hobby on my YouTube channel and professionally at weddings and events. Low light isnt amazing by any means, but better than I expected! So thats a bonus.

BEST CAMERA!
Yes, the autofocus isnt amazing and the lowlight isnt killer, but that really doesnt change my opinion. This camera has better specs almost in every field against the Canon 1dx m2 ($6000) and beats the sony in almost all fields. The autofocus isnt terrible, just not as great as others. With the new softwares, the auto focus gets better and better, so in the future it will be amazing. And for low light shooting, if you have $2000 to spend on a cam... Show More

Great Camera! Great Lens! Kitted Card Cant Do 400Mbps
I am really enjoying this setup. The body itself is all around fantastic and a joy to use. The lens is great as well. The case is basic, however functional, cant complain about that. The only possible gripe is that the card that came shipped with it isnt fast enough to do the 400Mbps video. Its a v30 where at least v60 is required to pull that off. To be fair this is a more recent feature of the body, and before then, the v30 would have been fi... Show More

A significant upgrade from the GH4
The GH5 is a great camera in its own right, but at the price, (especially at B&Hs discount as of Nov 2018), its a fantastic camera. Panasonic really puts a lot of thought into these cameras and have improved so many things over the GH4. The way this camera can be customized is amazing! There are just so many little touches that make you think, they were really serious about making this a pro camera! The 4 is still a great camera (Ill be keeping mine), but the GH5 kicks it up several notches. Loving it!

Great Camera - Lackluster CS Support
I was having difficulty with the new 2.4 firmware update. Panasonic CS only had a chat line. I explained the issue and the agent said, I will have to escalate the issue. Another agent will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours via email. I suppose this is to be expected in todays cost-cutting world, but I would definitely not rate this 4 or 5 star performance.

It grew on me.
I must say this camera was a struggle for me at first. I presently use a few Panasonic UX90 cameras for video and wanted something light for a jib for our church. It came with a learning curve for me. But after a few YouTube videos I was on my way. The image stabilization was the big selling point us because it was purchased for a jib. It gives us smooth shots and a beautiful color. I purchased one of Panasonics power zoom lens (45-175mm) and its... Show More

Still would not trade it for any camera...
... at any price! It does so much for me and then some! Don't let the FF field of view deter you. Get a fast enough lens, down at the f1.2, and you will have problems trying to keep your subjects in proper focus. Outside Run and Gun, with an ND, I still shoot at f4 just to make sure I don't miss my focus. If I know my subject is not moving, I'll use f2.8, or lower, but good luck getting a strong enough ND to reduce sunlight! If I had a gripe. It would be that I only have 1.
