IOGEAR 2-Port 4K DisplayPort KVMP Switch with Dual Video Out & RS-232

New GCS 1932M, moving left opened windows or apps issues.

I finally got the new high end GCS1932M KVM switch to replace my old IOGEAR GCS1642 which was a DVI KVM switch. ( never seen any issues before with that DVI switch ) I upgraded my work rig two new 2K screens. (BenQ model BL2420-T running at 2560 x 1440@60hz), and I will get two new 4K screens soon, and that's was the main raison why my previous switch get upgraded. I always been pleased before with the IOGEAR KVM switches about there qu... Show Moreality and reliability, but unfortunately this time that's changed. ********************************************************* *Things that you must really be aware of before buying that switch * ********************************************************* Since *** DisplayPort doesn't support monitor emulation ***, there is two Major issues that I encountered so far form day one with that new high end KVM switch. Issue 1 When booting or rebooting any of both computers, just right after the login screen, the screen attached to the HDMI port, ** always ** shown a shaking or a jerking image ( but only on the HDMI attached screen ), plus the size and layout is corrupted. ( see the attached picture ) At this stage, if I switch back and forth with the other attached computer, the HDMI attached screen where the image was jerking before get back and work normally. ????? Issues 2 *** EVERY Time *** when switching between both computers, all the opened apps or left opened windows get resized and also get moved to the second display. (All left opened windows or apps always get moved to the screen attached to the ** DisplayPort ** , and never the opposite ) that very annoying when working with many application and left opened windows with a specific layout. Because of this, I'm constantly loosing my working layout, and I need to replace it every time. ( I'm doing CAD/CAM work plus, photo and video editing, so I have plenty of left opened windows every time I switch to the other attached computer ) I also updated the firmware version up to the latest available one V1.1.101, but unfortunately it did not helped at all. I contacted IOGEAR support and opened a bug report for these issues, but from there, unfortunately nothing. At this time, they never even tell or confirmed if those issues could be fixed or not by a firmware update ???? So here is my computers config: computer 1 Windows 7 ( latest build available ) Nvidia GTX960 Computer 2 windows 10 Pro ( latest build available ) Nvidia GTX 1080 TI With that been said, before buying that new high end IOGEAR switch, think twice about what you will really do with it. If you're working with many application and left opened windows like me, keeping in place the screen layout is VERY important. I will update this review if it get fixed one day by IOGEAR.
