my best tripod, but
Got this because I needed something better than the toy-pods I've been using. It seems plenty strong for my 2.3 pound camera (Sony RX10M3). This tripod is light and easy to carry stuffed into a backpack, or hanging on the backpack. The included bag fits the tripod but won't hold anything more. There is a black sleeve with a two inch pocket and a shackle. The sleeve would fit very loosely on a leg of the tripod. No clue what this is for. Because I... Show More

Holds my 4x5 large format camera just fine!
What a GREAT tripod this is! It's very light. (I usually use very heavy tripods.) It's very adjustable. (My latest tripod has been a video tripod, so it doesn't have individually angle-adjusting legs, like this tripod has.) I like the fact that the center column goes up and down. I haven't tried to mount a camera hanging from the center column yet, because I just got this little tripod, and I haven't been using it yet. All I did so far is mount m... Show More

Nice Tripod
Nice, but a bit difficult to setup. I love the small size & light weight, also it offers a lot of flexibility, but making use of that flexibility takes time & effort. I have not tried the monopod setup yet & probably won't, as I have a mono which I like. I would recommend for it's size & flexibility just be forewarned about setting it up

Solid purchase
Very stable tripod for the size and weight. I purchased this for travel/hiking and it is just what I was looking for. I shoot with a DSLR and a 70-200 L series...I have no worries with this tripod. Price makes for a good value. Downside would be that it takes time to set it up as each leg section is loosened/tightened separately.

This is not a high quality Tripod
This is the first item that I have purchased from B and H that has not be totally excellent. This tripod a few critical flaws that made me return it. For the record, B and H 's return process is great and very timely. The tripod leg locking system was not reliable. Some of the leg's sections required more force to secure than the others. Also, the tripod's legs were not the same length. They were off slightly and would not allow my camera to be l... Show More

It is what it is
#1. I am spoiled. My Primary Tripod is a Gitzo medium weight tripod. It came with a decent head, which I replaced with a RRS huge ball head. The only issue I have with it, is that it is medium weight. I kind of wish I had bought a heavy weight and then a light weight traveler. So I bought this tripod. #2. Summery, this is a small lightweight cost effective (cheap?) tripod with a small lightweight head. The max support is a blatant lie. Most tripo... Show More

Yes, it is carbon fiber, and it is light, but.......
I'll cut to the chase. The ball head is pretty cheap, I have seen it sold online for around $20.00. I put on my Oben BA-117T ball head. The release lever for the legs is hard to use. instead of a rocker arm, it is a pull out lever making a quick adjustment of the legs out of the question. It has a lot of shake when the legs and the center columns are fully extended. Other than that, for the price this is a somewhat good tripod if you want something to take hiking or backpacking.

GREAT TRIPOD
Extremely sturdy and versatile. Solidly made and compact. I can't find anything that I don't like about it. Would buy another one if I needed to.

This thing is awesome
totally worth the money, cheaper than any other of its kind, and very well build. super light weight, perfect for travel or mobile photography. gets a bit less stable at full extension but a camera bag works on the hook attached to the center for added stability when required.

Amateur photographer, fits the budget for what i need.
Being an amateur photographer and in college, this fits the budget for what I need and nothing less. Very stable tripod and solid in the hands without the fear of flimsy material, the Q66C is very lightweight and strong being made of carbon fiber and perfect for tourism. When fully extended it remains in place and never moved the slightest bit while doing 25-second long exposure shots. My only complaint is the fact that, being 5'11, the monopod i... Show More

Versatile
This is a very versatile tripod. It checked all the boxes I needed for something inexpensive. It is carbon fiber, includes a ball head, collapses very small, and has most features of the more expensive ones. It also has the bonus to take one leg off and use it as a monopod. The only thing that could have been better was if it had been in stock. (Obviously, my expectations for B&H are really high.) But, it cams as expected, about 2 week after order. It was worth the wait, so if you want one, plan ahead.

Quality at an affordable price
Amateur photographer starting to do a lot of travel and needed a light, strong tripod / monopod to lug round. The Q66c fits the bill. Fits easily in the suitcase and not a bulky unit even with the included ball head. In addition, the price was within my budget.
