Easy to use for playing computer audio on old stereo
I used this device to make it possible to play Spotify from my laptop on an old stereo receiver that only has RCA phono plugs to interface to. The device was extremely easy to hook up and required no set-up. When there is no signal on the line I hear a tiny amount of noise but all of my equipment is old and I can't conclusively attribute the noise to the device. I did not need to download any software; the thing worked right out of the box. I am very satisfied.

Does exactly what it supposed to very well
Simple plug & play interface that I currently have hooked to a Windows XP computer I only use for recording. No driver installation needed & works with very low latency using the free ASIO4All download. No noise & sounds great. No complaints.

Input info is misleading
For the most part the product works fine. No driver is needed in Windows 10, though the ASIO4ALL driver is a welcomed option. For playback it is fine. For recording it is sub par. They list the input as a Line In but it is not set up for -10 unbalanced line level. It is a mic level input and according to Behringer support there is no way to change it to a line level input. Also, it being mic level fixed at max gain generates a lot of hiss. S... Show More

Good simple device
Worked right away - however, I used Spinitagain software. I had trouble using Audacity software.

Requires a computer, won't work off USB power adapter
It was not possible to use this preamp unless it was connected to a computer. What I had requested was a preamp with USB output for the option of recording to my computer. I still need to be able to play LPs and expect that I should be able to use a USB power adapter, but it only works with a computer and only after the computer has been updated. I'm returning it tomorrow and will buy a regular preamp.

Works right out of the box
Very happy with this USB/Audio device. It does exactly what I wanted and it does it on both laptops and desktops. My older mixer now has the ability to go direct to my USB port. The computer(s) had NO trouble seeing the device and using it just the way I expected. Highly recommend this device. Can't beat the price or the fine service from B&H.

Could be very good
Would be better if it had a more detailed manual, which included information on using the APS that are not in the package.

Very pleased
The UCA 202 was recommended to me by a participant in C-net forum as a fix for trouble I was experiencing getting a raw file off an old Sony MD (MZ-R700) and into Audacity. It took me 3 tries to find a pathway that would work, but once established the interfaced worked smoothly and without adding or allowing ambient noise. Part of the success could be that the interface was coupled to a Behringer Eurorack (MX 602A) making the connection better due to matched components. Regardless, the unit preformed as advertised, and has become my default interface. Good job Behringer !

Seems okay, but...
Product seems to record audio just fine, but it records everything into mono. Apparently this is a stereo device, but there is no 'troubleshooting' information in documentation to help with this problem, which admittedly might not be its fault.

Portable RCA-USB Audio Interface
Very good value and ease of use. 4/5 stars because it doesn't sound as good as some higher end and much more expensive gear (Echo, Motu). But in this price range, you are not supposed to be comparing those items anyway. It works great with an old field recording laptop (IBM Thinkpad with Windows XP 32 bit) and has low latency. The built in headphone monitoring is helpful as well. The volume control doesn't track well at the very minimum of its setting, but works well when above 25%.

Hard to get working and noisy
It took me two evenings of troubleshooting to get this unit to work properly. The Behringer UCA202 did not work on my older Windows 7 laptop without its drivers, not without having high latency. Unfortunately, not only are there no drivers included with the UCA202 itself, but also the download page no longer includes drivers. The only way I got this unit to work is to go to the the Wayback Machine and download the old drivers for the unit (click ... Show More

Does what it says
This is a very simple device to use, plug it in and you're ready to go. Decent quality, but I wish the headphone volume was a little easier to access as the knob is recessed just for the tip of your thumb. For the price tag that this has you can't really go wrong.

Excellent Value
Purchaased as an interface between our Mackie 1202-VLS Pro mixer and a pc running Audacity. The principal use is the recording of voiceovers for documentary television. It does the job well, without hassle and at the right price point.

small but mighty
I am converting my old vinyl record collection to digital on my computer to use with a wireless Sonos system. This Behringer USB/audio interface was just the thing I needed to accomplish my goal. It is easy to use and a great price. Could not be happier with this purchase. Great product.

Does as advertised
I was looking for a device to create a second audio path for use with VirtualDJ. This device allowed two audio paths one for master and one for headphones. Met my needs perfectly. I connected this to a Windows 8.1 Pro laptop, desktop, and Windows 7 Pro desktop. All worked without issues. Nothing separately needed to be installed. Windows OS did everything needed.

Perfect For Our Needs
Although we have not totally implemented this device,we plan to record our church services to a lap top for sending via the internet to our parish members who are either gone for the winter or for those unable to get to the worship services. The output feature allows us to also play music from either a thumb drive or stored music on the hard drive through our sound system for special applications Wish it would have included some simple software for sound level input.Otherwise very pleased.

Awesome!
My Macbook lost it's output function - and the UCA202 saved the day! It's really easy to use and the sound has been smooth like butter!

Used for iPad audio in
Used this item with a ipad lightning connector camera kit to record Korg Volca into ipad. Similar items use the analog headphone jack. Even though the Volca is analog, I wanted digital in so I wouldn't have any extra hiss. The red one is a newer model, but wasn't keen on the red and think the two are almost identical.

Price/Performance ratio is excellent
If you're transitioning from using the I/O on your laptop to playback/record, you can't beat this for solving your noise problems cheaply. It's cheap enough that if you later decide you need to get a more expensive one, you won't regret this purchase too badly. You don't need any drivers, it just works on Mac OS X 10.8 and 10.6. For a rough noise/cost reference, I have a MOTU UltraLite hooked up to my Mac Pro and the hiss on the Behringer input i... Show More

It simply worked!
I plugged this into a MacBook Pro so that I could record live audio from a church service in GarageBand. The computer recognized it, and the recording went smoothly. It did exactly what we needed it to do at a price that we could manage.

Super But Outboard Volume Control Needed
There is no volume control with this unit. The Tape-Out of my integrated amp will overload the Behringer and cause it to clip. The computer's volume control is of no use since the clipping occurs on the front end of the Behringer UCA202. YOU NEED AN OUTBOARD VOLUME CONTROL FOR THIS TO WORK EFFECTIVELY! I bought a Rolls MX42 Mini Mixer from B&H which works very well with the Behringer. With proper signal attenuation this unit will create 16 bit 44.1Khz WAV files of superb quality equal to a CD.

Basic Audio Interface
This is as sinmple as it gets for an audio interface. It provide the basic I/O capability for interfacing with a receiver. For microphone input one also needs a microphone preamp. It works. It is cheap. It is simple and reliable. What more can I say.
