Audioengine DS1 Desktop Stand for Small Speakers
Small speaker stands that work
Included are a pair of well made rubber speaker stands that raise the speakers a few inches off your desk but more importantly tilt the speakers backward. This points the tweeter upward toward your face. It does two things very well: it increases the brightness and widens the sound field. It is always a matter of balance between the tweeter and mid-range drivers in a speaker. The crossover circuit inside the speaker sends the higher frequencies t... Show More

Caution: There are two different sizes for this desktop stan
The B&H webpage for the Audioengine A2 + speakers did not include this stand as an accessory. I did a separate search on the B&H online site for the speaker stand & came up with the DS-2 which I assumed was the appropriate stand for the ordered A2 + speakers (particularly due to the 2 inclusion in the model number. It was only once delivery of the speakers and stand did I suspect that they were oversized. A further search revealed that there is a... Show More

Perfect For What I got Them For
Okay, this is called "out of the box" thinking. If you think I got these for my vomputer speakers you would be wrong. i got them to sit under my Klipsch center chanel speaker. It is on a shelf above my 40 inch Hitachi L.D. since mid/high frequencies are very directional, I wanted to have the speaker tilting downward more. I had a piece of 2" x 6" wood unerneath it. I wasn't concerned it would slide off. However, when I saw these I thought they wo... Show More

Happy Wife, Happy Life
I just retired an 8-year-old Mac Mini computer system my wife has been using at home as well as all the dated components attached to it. I surprised her with a new MacBook Pro laptop, Henge Docking system, Epson V600 Photo Scanner, DYMO 450 Labelwriter and two Audioengine A2+ speakers. The only thing she didn't like was my old Auralex foam speaker bases. I showed her the Audioengine Desktop Stands and she said, I want those! As you wish. Happy wife, happy life.

Good But Not Perfect For M-Audio AV 40s
These may be perfect for the ADS1 but for the AV 40s they're too small and unsteady. They do improve the sound by getting speakers off the desktop and aiming them at ear level. They are overpriced for just being a couple of small wedges of hollow plastic. But when you're the only game in town ...

Great
I use the stands for the A2+ speakers. The stands absorb the vibration I'd otherwise get from the speakers sitting directly on my desk... they also allow the speakers to be better aimed. I wouldn't say they are must-buys, but they do help the speakers deliver excellent sound.

Perfect
Great for any 4 monitor, but a little too small for anything bigger. They make bigger ones if you have bigger monitors. These look great and are at the perfect angle. A must for entry level producers and PC gamers with 3 or 4 monitors/speakers.

Desktop stand (Pieces of rubber)
These speaker stands do their job of cutting out vibrations and buzzs. They are simply pieces of rubber tho, no reason to charge as much as these things cost. Get them if you want to have a pristine setup otherwise figure something out.
