Great for 4K!
I needed more speed to work with 4K ProRes and RAW files, so I configured an old 6-Core, 3.33GHz2010 Mac Pro with five of these drives placed internally (still waiting for a refresh to the Pro desktop line. Excellent device, watch for installation pitfalls
The disk is everything I could wish for, but beware - it is a struggle to set up a 4TB disk on a windows 7 system. I'm not sure about Windows 8 or 10. The issue is that windows installs as MBR, and you need GPT to address over a 2TB drive. The Samsung migration utility does not address this problem. Conversion from MBR to GPT is not for the feint-of-heart but, now complete, I couldn't be happier. My system runs fast, cool, and with room for tons of VMs.

This drive has worked flawlessly in combination with OWC Thunderbay 4 mini 4bay enclosure. The combination has given me the room for plenty of my photo files with room for future expantion. This combo has given me the ability to have any of my files on hand at a moments notice
