How you use the productI have a small studio - nothing too fancy. I have recorded a good amount of bands and musicians over the last 15 years though. These were recommended to me by a friend with a degree and background in audio engineering as the best bang for my buck. Now, these are now my primary drum mics. I was incredibly skeptical and nervous over what the kit would sound like but as I said, they are now my primary mics. I use all of the mics in the set but the kick mic. This is not because the mic is bad, I just have one I like better. The mic set is comparable sound-wise to Shure's PG series. In fact, it's the PG52 that I use on my kicks. Things that are great about itConsistent sound - Very little EQ needed. I would go as far as saying if you add EQ you are trying to change the sound of your drum kit, not the recording. In my experience what goes in these things, comes out.Price the next comparable sounding mic kit To noticeably improve quality, you're looking at spending around 800 dollars.Durability Seems like they're built really well. I haven't had any troubles. In this price range, that means a lot. Things that aren't so great about itYou get made fun of when you tell your friends your mic kit is a Pyle. Other than that - nothing really. This is one of my more satisfying purchases. ... More

I, like many, was skeptical about buying buying this because of the very low price. But after a couple of gigs I am pretty darn pleased with these mics. They are much flatter than I thought they would be. They reproduce the drum sound very well. You can buy more expensive mics but for me these sound very good and the small increase in sound quality is not worth the large increase in money spent.

This mike set is not the greatest set of mics if you thinking hey man i only buy pro gear, but if your looking for a full drum mic set that is ready to go and don't want to spent the Pro gear price, this will do the trick.I love mine. bottom line if you want better quality you going to spend at least $ per mic, and to be honest most likely more then $ per mic.You can not beat this value. Worth every penny.

The recorded sound into my logic Pro recording program is excellent nice big fat drum sound that I can control volume on each one of the drums

Good Sound and can't beat this price. Included aluminum case is the icing on the cake. Will use both condensers (PDKM7-C) as overheads for cymbals, all four PDKM7-B on snare & toms. Will use (better sounding) A-55 MXL KICKER instead of the PDKM7-A included here, and will probably add an MXL condenser on the hi-hat.

I wanted to mic my drums and didn't have a lot of money to spend on mics. Read some reviews on this mic set and ordered it. I am not dissapointed one bit. For the price, these mics perform great. The condensor mic really do a great job of picking up the cymbals. This mic set it well worth the money.

Well, I have to say that I was not really expecting these to sound as good as they do. I know you can get a much better mic set, but you will have to pay alot more for them. these are doing the job for me just fine. I do wish the tom / snare mounts were more adjustable but the are working ok for me as well. The kick mic is the most supprising one in the kit for me. It gives a great thud the the bass, and if you install it a litte deeper into the bass, it picks up the slap from the batter head very nicely. So pick them up , I think you will be happy with them, I know I am....... ... More

I just bought these and used them to record some cheap demos. I didn't expect as much quality as I received. Adjust, equalize and you're set to record some decent lines.

that this kind of a deal actually exists. What a bargain and the mics sound great. Pyle Pro Audio is making a name for themselves. I can't find anything that I don't like about this set of mics. Could we get Pyle to start selling gasoline? Our dollars would go so far that we'd bring back the 60's!

I cannot believe that they are able to create this product for this price. The mic kit is generally pretty good. It sounds good on all of the drums. The condenser mic's need to be a good distance away from the cymbals in order to prevent hiss but overall great product for the money.

I was skeptical as many are with the price being very affordable. I'm not looking do do major studio work, so I took a chance. I am glad I did. They sound great, and the hardware is very nice. No issues yet for sure. I would indeed recommend to anyone looking for good quality at an affordable price. Pleasantly surprised. Happy drumming all...

Everything in the kit is good quality build and the overheads and kick mics are the best. I bought it for some extra tom mics, but ended up using the whole set.
