A great prime lens. Good for street and for portraits. Great bokeh, great in low light.

I would absolutely buy this lens if needed
I use this one for taking picture for my blog and I LOVE it. Amazing depth of field and makes my Photos so dreamy. Got the e-pl 7 body with this and taking photos is effortless.

M. Zuiko Digital ED 45mm: Great Investment
This 45mm micro four-thirds lens is equivalent to 90mm on a full-frame camera (because of the M43 crop factor). The lens is light-weight (116g) and is made of plastic, apart from the metal mount, but it does feel solid. Most importantly, the glass is good and the silver-colored barrel looks nice on my DJI Zenmuse X5. I use this lens only for drone work so I can't comment on how well still photographs look taken with this lens, but the video images I have film are super clean & sharp. A great lens that I more often fly/film with- rather than the DJI 15mm kit lens.

Must have lens, no doubt
I had good expectations of this lens based on other reviews but after playing it for one day I have to add to the accolades it already has. The mild telephoto restricts it to a particular set of shots (I bought it for portraits) but wow, when the requirements are right this is an amazing lens. On my EM-1 it is wicked fast for autofocus but even better for portraits it's crazy accurate. Attached shots are JPEGs straight out of the EM-1. Hand held.

Excellent lens for MFT
Great lens for Panasonic G7. I was not happy with the kit lens for Panasonic G7 14-140 mm - as the photos coming too out of focus or dark. Olympus lens seem to be working very good, photos look sharp and bright. Little difficult to put the lens initially - but once it is fit - the photos look awesome.

Superb lenses with great bokeh
These portrait lense kits is must have in your list. Not many to said about these lenses as so many possitive review from these both lenses out there. Yes I'm a bit odd with 75mm because you need more space from your object. But once the shutter release.. you will love the result. Yes bokeh.. I love bokeh.. and these lenses will give you a smooth and creamy taste bokeh on your picture. As I said, must have items. Wonder when Oly will deliver 25mm/42.5mm f/0.95 after they just realeased 25mm f/1.2 in this year photokina.

So far so good.
The color values it produces are different at the same settings than the lens my camera gx85 came with. The imagine is darker and has less accurate coloring. That said.. it's less distorting and is capturing more detail. Will require more customized settings for best results.

I am glad I bought it.
Annoyances: I am irritated that it does not come with its own lens hood. Its mount is really tight, requiring extra effort to lock it into place. At first I thought something was wrong, but I had it in correctly. Positives: I have five prime lenses for my beloved 35 year old film SLR. The 100 mm telephoto has always been my favorite. I wanted a similar focal length for my OM-D. I hesitated because of the price, but I am glad I went ahead. It works perfectly with my OM-D EM10 Mk II, same quick and quiet focusing. Images are uniformly sharp. It deserves its fine reputation.

Great low light lens for M4/3 cameras ( I use GH3 and GH4)
I would say this lens is excellent for GH3 and GH4 cameras. A plus is that it has automatic focus and its compatible with panasonic GH3 and GH4. This is a M4/3 lens so there is no crop factor with it which is amazing. It is also a great low light lens! I can say I can do almost a whole event with this little lens and almost never switch to other lenses I can get decent medium close ups medium wide shots and some times even some close ups its a ve... Flawless ...
This is a masterpiece. Sharp, distortion free, huge amount of light coming in, just flawless. Bought it for my Inspire 1 Pro drone with X5 camera and it works like a charm. Some people reports video yello artifacts with this almost tele lens, related to a badly vibrating camera mount or gimbal issues. Not in my case. Video is smooth, slow panning with no blur, amazing details. Bingo!

Amazing lens
This is my first prime lens and I have to admit that I was a little hesitant on buying one but I'm so glad I picked this one up and I look forward getting another one perhaps the 75 mm next.

Sharpest Lens in the Bag
I bought this mainly as a portrait lens - which the 45mm f/1.8 delivers marvelously; good colors, natural skin-tones and narrow depth of field that gives superb separation between subject and background. When I discovered how SHARP and FAST the Autofocus was, I decided to try my hand at photographing the birds that visit my backyard feeders. Take a look at the 3 bird photos I put up to demonstrate what the lens will render. WOW! You can see the r... Show More

Great Focal Length, Amazing Auto Focus
We were amazed at the size, we were more surprised because it has great optics and it focuses really fast. For our live productions it is better than what we expected. We mostly use it for video work, and it is a beauty to see the footage that comes from it. One thing that we wish it had is image stabilization but other than that it is amazing.

Hope Other companies pay attention
I have an Olympus OMD EM 1 and a Pen F. I also own a Sony A7 R II The Sony cost more but the OMD is made better. The lens gives sharp results. Unlike Sony Olympus lenses are well paired with there system. Don't know why Sony sold there stake in Olympus! Can't wait for the OMD II.

Loved the results when I took portraits of my grandsons. Faces sharp, background beautifully blurred.

A bargain at the sale price of $
Sharp and crisp but even more important to me is the nice micro contrast, plus I don't care for over saturation in photos so I like the accurate colors Olympus gives right out of the box that require very little post processing. I shoot 99% RAW. I do wish it had the ring that the 17mm 1.8 has that makes it so easy to switch to manual focus. Also wish it came with center pinch lens cap. Only 4 stars because I'm a tough grader.

Love this lens!
I initially purchased this lens by recommendation from YouTube video I watched. As a novice I decided to purchase this lens and I want disappointed. This is a great portrait lens and I'm very impressed by the quality of the images I get.

Can't believe how small this thing is!
Well built even though it is made of plastic rather than metal. Unlike the kit lenses that have plastic mounts, this guy has a metal one. It is very small and light weight. It has an extra tight fit to the body and talk about sharp...this lens lets you see the blood vessels in the eyes crisp as can be. Can't ask for any better images: rich color, sharp as a tack. Extra fast focusing...BAM, it's there!

Solid Lens for a Solid Price
Great lens for the price. Very sharp - super small - perfect for the micro 4/3 approach. Build quality isn't up to some of Olympus/Panasonic's other more expensive lenses, but that's to be expected.

Amazing low light portraits
I am amazed at the 45mm for its sharp image and fast AF when using touch screen on a single subject. Multiple objects will have AF dancing around even if you select a narrow box. Not aweful but not as crisp.

Light enough that you will always have it with you
I thought about buying the 70 mm lens which s much more expensive, and weighs more than twice as much. I bought this system to be small and light so I will use it more often. This lens suits that purpose. It has a shallow enough depth of field that you can isolate you subject. Since I purchased this lens primarily for portraits I don't care if the edge sharpness is not the same quality as the 70mm lens. The 45mm focal length also works better for parties than the 70mm lens would. The lower cost made this an easy decision.
