Disappointing for an iMac user
I bought it (elsewhere) to complement a Mac build hoping to get image quality comparable to my non retina 2010 27iMac. Tested it for a few days and decided to return it, due to insufficient brightness and static contrast, even when compared to my 2010 iMac 27 (not to mention a modern Retina display). Its probably ok in a dimly lit room but still, I found myself setting it at max brightness, which implies no headroom to adjust to brighter ambient ... Show More

Amazing Upgrade
I had dual 24" monitors for a while. Always hated the break in the middle. No my dreams are realized. This things is amazing. I've actually got it plugged into an old MacBook Pro 15" from 2012 and it works fine over HDMI (granted, only at 30 Hz). I've also tested it with my USB-C 2017 MacBook Pro I use for work and that's even better. So if you've got an older Mac and aren't quite ready to buy a new one, this is an excellent upgrade that supports the past and is ready for USB-C glory.

Love it so far
Replaced an 11-year-old Dell Ultrasharp 32 monitor with this. The Dell has been solid, but I wanted the ultrawide resolution. I use it primary for software development and related daily workflow. I especially like the x 1600 horizontal resolution, since the horizontal real estate closely resembles that of my old 25x16 monitor. In short, its a great display so far. Using it with a NVIDIA GTX 1060. Works great.

Phenomenal Monitor
Moved from a Mid-2011 21" iMac to an 2018 Intel NUC8HV paired with the LG 38WK95C-W. It's size is perfect for working on four documents at the same time. The Bluetooth connectivity works seamlessly with Windows 10 Pro audio. The colors are bright. While it is not "retina" class, it is extremely close. My only regret is not moving to this monitor sooner.

Was hoping for a better monitor than my 38UC99...
Not that the 38UC99 is a slouch, its just that the 39WK95 isnt really any better than my two year old 38UC99 and it wont do 10 bit generated by my Quadro P4000, so I dont see how it can it can really support HDR. Shouldve saved the money and just got another 38UC99.
