These are designed to be a quick release mount for a monitor on a stand or a mini PC mount to a monitor. They work great for both of these uses. A third use we have found is a mini PC mount to a desk or wall. We mount many of our mini PC's under the front of the desk for our users convenience. The way we do it they hang out about half an inch but it works great for the users. They also work well for mounting one behind a TV in conference rooms.
