Nice little budget unit
I like this unit for being small and easily portable when needed. Sounds pretty good for this price, although I don't think I'll record any serious music on it. For monitoring video during editing it's quite good though.

Works well for recording analog from one computer to another
One cant extract the audio from a youtube clip and then, say, put it on a CD. I guess its now allowed for copyright reasons. At least I tried and couldnt. Likewise, Amazon prime offers free streaming on a ton of recordings, but again you are disallowed from making an audio file. But using this device and recording from one laptop to another, even though I am going from digital to analog and back, I can get very decent copies any of the above. I c... Show More

Great from the price
The computer interface seems clean but the mic inputs are a little noisy. For the price, I will keep it. I was going to get the 4 pre version for another application but I will be using SM7B and RE20 mics. These mics are notoriousfor needing a lot of gainso I would need 4 cloudlifters. It would be cheaper to buy a Focusrite because it has cleanergain. I have a pair of studio monitors on my editing machine. This will mostly be used as a monitor/... Show More

Perfect box for a wanna be producer
Pros: Extremely low latency with the ASIO drivers you can get from their website. (5ms at 64 samples which sounds perfect) Very low noise on the 2 inputs unless you turn the gain up fairly high to the point where it's unnecessary. Very Quality construction. Both input and all volume knobs feel great. 24 Bit 192khz audio is very nice to have. You don't really need anymore than that. Perfect for a starting studio. Cons:... Show More

Perfect for what I needed!
I needed to have the capability to record on the move in several locations and the Behringer UMC202 was perfect for the situations. Recording quality was excellent - was able to easily edit in Garage Band.

Did what I needed -- right away
This worked right away with an Ubuntu laptop and Audacity. My immediate need was to digitize an old (1969) reel-to-reel tapeand edit for potential CD. This to be done on the first play, just in case the tape was ready to shed oxide. (It did not, FWIW).The only thing which I would have liked would have been optional RCA inputs, since that was the output of the Revox.I expect to get more use out of it with good microphones, but this task was what I considred crucial.I'm quite happy with the device.

Surprisingly Good (even) For The Price
Really good. I tried to write a longer review and got an error message, so this is a test to see if it works with a shorter review.

Incredible Value
Finally and affordable interface that can take full advantage of your condenser mics full dynamic range. Very transparent, low noise and a self contained headphone amp for remote mixes.
