Great value, impressive sound
Behringer's BOD400 Bass Overdrive pedal succeeds on many levels. The ratio of functionality to dollars is very high. For a fraction of the cost of mainstream competitor's pedals, and a miniscule slice of the cost of a boutique pedal, you get a Bass dirt pedal that is comfortable across its entire range of gain. At lower settings you get a mild warm overdrive. At 50% you get an edgy distortion that has a lot of variation on tap depending on your t... Show More

Sweet Pedal
This is a great pedal for the price! It gives my bass more of a fuzz than overdrive wich is great. Also it has a great Bass and Treble boost. So far there isnt anything i dont like about it. you get exactly what you order. the durability is still tba but i'm enjoying it. It's a great pedal for Punk, and a Hard Indie style of playing.

Great Sound, but at a risk
I loved the sound of the inexpensive overdrive, and I have purchased many Behringer pedals before, but this is the first that has failed me -- within 5 days of purchase. So, I would give 5 stars for a good sound for the price, but with Behringer, you risk a failure. When you find a good one, like my BEQ700 EQ, hang on to it tightly!

Good sound, low price
The only small complaint I have about this pedal is that changing the battery is inconvenient. Other than that, it delivers everything promised

Don't judge a book by it's cover
I have a behringer gear from amp heads to combo amps . So I can say this pedal gets the job done . For bass overdrive it gives you that old dirty bass tone , for those on a budget behringer is the way to go !!!!!

cool but limited
I play bass in a heavy rock three-piece and I cover a lot of the rhythm guitar parts behind solos etc with power chords. While this pedal does a good job of coloring the tone during single-note parts where I double the guitar--in fact I quite like the growl I came up with--it can't keep up with multiple notes and the chords sound synthetic and clipped rather than simply fuzzy. Not going to replace the pedal I've been using. Plus the construction ... Show More

Great deal
Needed some bass distortion to use in some new tunes the band added. Didn't want to spend a lot. I a/b'd this pedal with a few other more expensive ones, couldn't hear enough difference to warrant the extra cash. This pedal is very adjustable, so it can be a little tricky to dial it in. The dry blend control is the best feature IMHO.

best of its kind for the price
This is a good piece of equipment for its price. It doesn't quite stand up to the higher quality pedals, but this certainly is a good buy.
