Great quality
You will be hard-pressed to find a better portrait lens for the price. I predominately shoot nature and wildlife, but on occasion have need for a portrait lens. Very happy with this one.

Bought this lens to take pics at family functions. Great portrait lens with incredibly sharp picture quality and buttery bouquet. Its a solid addition and great in low light situations.

Sharp lens!
Im glad i bought this lens instead of the zeiss 55mm for some reason the images are just so much more sharp. i dont know what other people are talking about vignetting i dont see any...

Beautiful portrait and mid-telephoto lens
Perfect portrait lens. Also used for specific distance landscape images, lens is perfectly clear and sharp edge to edge with incredible definition. Excellent addition to my A7m2 kit.

So far so good
Using this lens for amateur nature and wedding photography. Very solid, fast, and useful prime. Does not stun like a Zeiss or G master, but the cost isn't like those either.

Amazing quality
For the money this lens represents the best quality dollar for dollar. If you are buying the A7III and only have enough to buy one lens in this price range get this one.

Fantastic Lens!

I LOVE this lens

Disappointed
Pre ordered and i guess received a defective piece. After mounting to my A7R2 worked for few clicks and then went unrecognizable by the camera. I'll return it soon..

great lens
I love this lens. Its too bad that I waited so long to purchase it. I have the 90mm and thought I didnt need the 85. But this lens is smaller with a faster focus.

Awsome Lens for the Price

Former user of Canon 85mm f1.2 & 85mm f1.8. This little wonder combines strengths of both. Great wide open and stopped down. Can carry all day. This pic at f2.0
