Overall happy with my purchase
I was deciding between this camera and the slightly cheaper Canon G7x II. I ultimately chose this when I noticed BH was offering a $100 gift card (essentially bringing the cameras within $200 of each other). I use it for filming vlogs and it has been a huge upgrade over my iPhone 6s camera. Great portable camera
This is my first camera purchase since 2009 when I got my first DSLR - the Rebel T1i. What I love about this camera is that it's ultra portable and it has all the options found on my DSLR. Fantastic product
I only recently received this unit, so I've only used it a few times. However, it's everything I've come to expect from Sony cameras: fantastic video, a huge selection of options, great photos. Obviously, if you're looking for a long zoom, you've come to the wrong product. But if you're looking for a b camera on video shoots, something to pull out of your pocket to grab high quality snaps, or if you need a stabilized 4K camera in a variety of situations, this will do the job perfectly. 24 fps is a huge advantage and S-log2 capabilities will come in hand for my work. Love it.

Tiny body with powerful and speedy auto focus
That's my very first Sony brand camera cuz I have been a canon friend since I entered the photograph field. I've owned canon 50d and 5d m2 with few L lenses for years. I have to say RX 100V is the best compact camera based on the speedy focus under limited lighting. The image quality is fairly good even the noise level is on the higher side compare the DSLR, but what else you can expect from this pocket size device . If you a video lover you will love it more than any other compact cameras cuz of the speedy auto focus.

Great camera, but hate the nickel and dimming
Great camera so far. Amazing how they can get so many features and capability in such a small camera. The auto focus is superb. The only reason to give a rating of 4 is that you have to buy items for the camera that should be standard. $14 for a piece to allow you hold onto the camera easier, come on Sony...it cost less than a dollar! on a $1000 camera. Amazing Camera in such a small package.
I use this as my carry along camera. I primarily use a Sony A7RII. I also have a Nikon D810 and many Nikon lenses. The DSCRX100V is so small and easy to carry. Awesome Point and Shoot
The Sony RX100V is an awesome camera whose capabilities extend beyond the point and shoot realm. This compact camera easily fits my pocket and is with me all the time. I now take this in trips versus my DSLR kit. The menu is very intuitive and the photos are amazing. I have not yet tried the video functions.

To me this was not worth it
For someone who has never held a DSLR, this camera is worth it and it can do everything and more. The pros of having it are the Zeiss lens with great image quality, superior macro, size, autofocus speed, features, The cons are low light capability, high ISO noise, low zoom at 70mm and the image quality and %100 crop. Not much else I can say.

Great sidekick to my A7RII
This camera is great. I mostly use it to shoot 4k video on together with my Zhiyun Crane-M. No complaints yet. Images look great and the video quality is amazing. I shoot with my A7RII and use the RX100 for moving gimbal shots or just whenever I don't feel like bringing my pack. Amazing!!
I've owned the RX100 III,IV and now the V, what a great upgrade. Sony has really made a top-notch point and shoot that in some cases could rival with a few DSLR's.. My only regret about this camera is that I jumped the gun a week too early to purchase it and now this week a $100 B&H gift card is offered with it..oh well..lol, still happy with my purchase..

Upgraded from the DSC-RX100 IV
The primary reason why I upgraded was for the faster autofocus and this bad boy delivers. I also started using 4k, but you are only limited to about 5 minutes which was the same issue the previous version had. The high FPS shooting will come in handy for my kids sports. Here's some tip I just learned: 1. There's a time-lapse app! Get it! I was considering a USB intravelometer. The benefit of the app is that it leaves the USB charging port open and it works with a battery bank. 2. Get the remote control app. You can use your phone to see a live preview and take pictures with it.

No RAW support
After a month from the release date and the actual date of the purchase there is no RAW support from ANY software including Photoshop and Lightroom.Capture One for Sony! doesn't support the camera either. The only file converter that does is the Sony's Primitive and slow RAW converter that resembles more Windows 3.0 if someone remember what's that . Truly one of the best travel cameras you can buy.
One of the best travel cameras you can own, I have had the original RX100 and a few others since then but all are now gone except my Olympus EM1 but that camera is sometimes to large to carry around especially when on vacation hence the Sony RX100 v. Image quality is very good and focuses very fast I really have nothing bad to say about it. The best camera is always the one you can carry everywhere.

Great Camera above and below the water
Very please with camera. Only downside so far is battery life. Would have appreciated an external mic input to block wind on the videos and some sort of device to trigger external flash. Got great pictures above the water and under in the Fantasea housing. I would definitely recommend this camera based on picture quality and ease of use.

Excellent. The best in the RX100 series yet.
The RX100 V has a number of subtle improvements over the IV. Easily the best in the series so far. The image quality is virtually the same, maybe very slightly ahead if you are crawling through the pixels, but there are a lot of usability and feature enhancements. If you currently have a Mark I, II or III, the V is definitely a good upgrade worth considering. But if you already have a Mark IV, the differences are not quite dramatic, so study the feature differences and see if it really makes a difference.

Great little gem
I previously had the I, then then the II, now this V is a keeper, there is nothing not to like. I got rid of all my big gear, glass and all and now I'm keeping this one which I know will not be a burden to carry and will more than suffice for when I travel. Highly recommended.
