Worth the money.

Jan 19, 2012

I use these mostly for practice with my keyboards and to listen to music from various sources. Good but not great sound. Decent mids and highs but bass is a little muddy. Very comfortable. The carry pouch and detachable cord are an asset. They serve the purpose and are overall worth the money. I am keeping them but I'm not sure they qualify as a 'professional' headset.

Overall a very good product

Nov 15, 2017

Overall a very good product - great sound quality. Some minor issues: 1) not lightweight - 11.1 ounces (316 grams) weight of the headphones alone without the cord. 2) the headband adjustment detents are too loose - does not hold the adjusted position - detent pressure itself should either be adjustable, or should have been a little more positive.

Awesome Headphones

Aug 21, 2014

Super duper comfortable. The input wire is actually 1/8, but it comes with a screw on 1/4 converter, which works perfectly well. The headphones also come with a nice carrying pouch which is nice. Sounds quality is, of course, very nice. I very much like the coiled wire as well. Doesn't get in the way, yet provides good length.

Great Value Studio Headphones

Apr 5, 2012

These are my go-to headphones now. I use it at work, home, and my commute to work. They are a bit larger than regular headphones, so some people might find it bulky, but the sound quality for the price is great, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice pair of headphones, but doesn't want to spend more than $100.

Outside noise not canceled

Apr 6, 2016

These headphones have great sound and are so comfortable that you forget you even have them on. Great highs, great low end. Their only disadvantage is that they do not do a good job on canceling outside sounds. It is something totaly irrelevant for studio recording, but for home recording it is quite significant.

Very good headphones......

Aug 29, 2015

These headphones have a superior performance with a good price point. I had a listen the bass guitar through it and it sounded very tight and had a good low frequency response. I would highly recommend this set of headphones for a budgeted studio or live performance situation. The build quality is really good.

Worth every cent

Mar 3, 2015

When I'm doing a mix, I like to not only hear the music thru my monitors, but I like too hear them thru a good pair of headphones as well. I can truly say that the Shure H440's are great for this. The sound is awesome, and give you distinction from the highs and lows in your recordings.

Great for General Listening

Dec 1, 2018

Great for general listening and very comfortable and affordable - obviously a shaped frequency response (boosted mids), so be aware and be sure to double check mixes on other systems. I've had these for 2 years now and still have no problems with them. Sturdy product for Shure ;)

Wonderful Headphones!

Jul 25, 2011

I use these headphones for listening to music and for recording my own music, and my band's music. These headphones definitely perform just as advertised: They are comfortable, portable, durable, and have great sound quality. I really like the coiled cord as well.

good sound

May 31, 2016

Sound is good and serves my purpose of monitoring sound while video editing. It is true though, as other reviews stated before me, that it hurts on the top of the head. I move it a little forward towards my forehead and it makes the trick: does not hurt anymore.

Better than Sony 7506

Jan 5, 2014

Tese headphones are pretty nice. I A/B'd all the $100 headphones and these were the best that B%h has in their superstore. The low end is good, the high end doesn't rip your ears out like the Sony 7506. they are colapsable which is nice for touring/ traveling.

SRH440 Pro Fantastic

Jul 13, 2011

I bought this a few weeks back and they have not disappointed. Fantastic quality, i listen to them all day at work and they are great, very comfortable over the head design and compact and fold away for storage and comes with a carry case which is awesome.

Great Headphones

Jul 3, 2017

I love these headphones! I had to get a new pair of headphones after I notice that the Sony MDR-7506 was giving up on me. I use these headphones for podcast and editing! Also feels great while I have my glasses on! Will recommend to everyone!

pretty good

Aug 8, 2012

I use this primarily as home studio headphones. My only concern are the protruding tiny wires that connect the headphone to the headband. They seem to be fragile and if accidentally snagged, then that's the end of the headphones.

Very good value sound-wise though not the most comfortable

Jan 30, 2015

Sound is very good at this price point, better than more expensive headphones I have used. Not the most comfortable for me as the earpieces are a teeny bit small for my ears, but hey we all suffer for our art sometimes!

Solid set of headphones

Jan 19, 2011

I bought these headphones for home use. They are well made, and have sharp sound. The detachable cord is very useful and locks into place so it doesn't fall out during use. Good headphones for the price.

Good set

Feb 15, 2019

I expected more, but to my price range it was the best option. Easy handling, carriable, durable. My problem with it is the poor sound isolation, and not much definition on the lower-end.

Flimsy headband

Aug 29, 2019

Headband broke after two years although I don't use it much (it's my back up) and was careful when taking it on and off. For the price, I see no reason for buying such a flimsy headphone.

Great service, great product

My first pair of professional headphones, and I couldn't be happier. I was fine with a pair of Sony headphones for $$, but this made me listen to my music differently.

So far they are performing as expected. Bass is great and clarity almost perfect. They sealed perfectly around the ear. And the price is at everyone budget...
