Although this stand seems very sturdy and the pedal action feels very nice, the tripod legs have to extend extra wide. They can not be rotated either. I have never seen a hi hat stand with this wide of a leg stance. I have trouble placing any of my snare stands in a comfortable position because of this, and I think this would be a problem for most drummers. It could be even more problematic for young drummers with shorter legs, and PDP is supposed to be geared more towards these drummers. Bad design!!
