The primary reason I chose this camera over the others is that it has a larger sensor, and therefore, a larger lens, and this means better image quality, ... period. This is a great camera!
At first I ordered the new Panasonic GX850 but returned it after finding that the camera wasn't for me. The GX850 is certainly tiny, but I had a difficult time handling it without accidently changing settings by bumping buttons or items on the touchscreen. Now I have the LX100. I like its simplicity. Small yet professional
Sought compact travel camera, something between my treasured Sony E-mount system (3 Nex-7 bodies and a new a6500 + multitude of lenses) and my disposable pocket camera (used Canon S100). I own nicer cameras - but this one is my favorite.
I'm a commercial photographer and own nicer cameras, but this one is my favorite. It inspires to go out and shoot for fun, whereas my other ones I associate with work. LX100 - the best single lens walk around I have tried!
I have the GX7 an a range of prime lenses so the LX100 is going to be more of a light weight carry around. The lens is excellent an I don't miss my primes when I take this with me. Love the manual control and great feel for the small size of the body. Macro AF is fantastic (not as good as the LX7 but the sensor size gives better resolution so its a winner). 1.7 - 2.8 is a great performance from such a compact body.

Poor design fault/horrendous customer service
RE the Second LUMIX DMC LX100, first was a lemon due to battery issues. Bought extended THREE YEAR WARRANTY Problem is the zoom--- on its retraction pulls in dust, which lands on the chips causing spots. Sent into repair in Texas, after charging me 10$ for the phone support---three year warranty---I sent in camera. Told it would take two-three months to evaluate. Love this Camera
The LX100 is a very, very good camera. It's perfect for any advanced photographer that wants a camera that they can carry around without bringing extra lenses. The leica lens on this is excellent, and at f/1.7 it is still very sharp. I would buy this again
This camera works perfectly as long as you aren't expecting it to replace a dslr. I also own a D800E, but it was becoming a pain to constantly drag around. All the customizable controls make this camera perfect for someone that's used shooting in modes other than auto. I wish the camera had a higher resolution, but for me it's worth the tradeoff for low light performance. Just as a heads up, pictures show in a much lower quality when viewed on the camera vs when downloaded.

Lagging Auto focus
Bought camera for video use and the auto focus is slow and not effective without pressing the button. Going to return the camera for that reason! Seems good for photos but not for video.

It is great camera hiking and travel
Camera produces great pictures and is fairly easy to operate but takes some concentration to get it right. Not having a built in flash is a pity There needs to be a pouch so one can carry on their belt for quick access with hiking.

Disappointment yet again.
Unfortunately, this camera does not match my expectations. The camera 'looks' good, with a good viewfinder, good on-camera manual controls, but surprisingly the picture quality falls short. Also, they don't give you a user manual, so very irritating to plow through huge PDF file.........which is a joke in and of itself....very poorly written when trying to understand and set the various functions.

Basic Kit case is too large
I have only had the camera for a day now, I love it so far. But I just wanted to say that the camera case that comes with the basic kit is useless. It is way too big, I could put two of these cameras in that case. I would not have purchased the kit if I had known the case didn't fit. I have already ordered a replacement case (MegaGear) that should work much better.

Si lo que buscas es solo una cmara automtica estas gastando dinero de ms - pero si buscas una cmara con funciones ms avanzadas es perfecta. Yo uso NIKON full frame DSLR y no me gusta enfocar con pantallas digitales pero para viajes y lugares donde NO quiero llevar una cmara cara, pesada y llamativa es una excelente solucin - el visor de enfoque aunque no es directo, te permite utilizarlos como una DSLR y puedes operar de forma manual o con prioridad de apertura o velocidad, adems tiene una funcin de bracketing con un solo click muy adecuada para HDR

Perfect Street Camera
Bought this camera for a few upcoming trips as opposed to using my clunky dslr and looking like a tourist everywhere. I was recently in Italy and this camera was easily accessible and very fast. The photos are vivid and the auto focus speed is perfect for street photography. Not only is the quality of image superb but so is the quality of the camera. The body and lens housing is all metal and has a good weight to it. For an even better experience get the self opening/closing lens cap. Highly recommend this camera.

This is the third of this series of Pana-Leica cameras I have owned, and that says a lot about how much I like them. My most recent experience has changed that opinion. I enjoy the lighter weight if this camera for hiking/mountain biking and traveling. It definitely does not replace my dslr, but the image quality that comes out of it is one of the best I've seen out of a reasonably-priced compact mirrorless micro four-third.
