Reliable & Comfortable!

Jul 2, 2013

I bought this to go with Yamaha MOX6 in my home studio. (After being satisfied, bought another for my daughter aged 6.) The construction is sturdy. No flimsy parts. No sway or rattle. Apparently OK for on-the-move as well. The seat is firm and comfortable without being mushy. I am 50+, 5' 10 tall, and weigh 190 lbs. My height adjustment on the bench is the lowest possible. I could play in complete comfort for an hour straight. The X shaped base h... Show More

Just what the Doctor ordered

Jan 18, 2012

I am a singer songwriter and perform regularly in a guitar duo. My legs have been getting very sore after a couple of hours of standing so I decided to sit half the time. This bench is not too heavy, very sturdy, easy to adjust, adjusts within the perfect height range with a firm but not too hard seat. It also folds up easily so it doesn't take up too much space on my equipment dolly. It is just as good at home or for a gig. My only complaint wou... Show More

SUPER BENCH! DA da da DA! =)

Sep 21, 2011

There are so many benches out there to choose from... it made my head swim a little! I read good reviews about this one, and it seemed to fit my needs so I took a chance, and it paid off! I have no complaints, whatsoever. I admit, I was confused for about 30 seconds while setting it up... as it has no notches or anything on the crossbars for height adjustment, like what I've seen before, but then when I realized the notches are integrated under t... Great Bench!

Aug 7, 2013

I was a little worried about finding something with the seat high enough for me to sit with feet planted on the floor (I'm fairly tall - 5'11) but this worked really well, and I'm not even at the highest setting. People with long legs will appreciate that! The bench is really sturdy and has a nice thick, wide padded seat. I found it to be easy to adjust to the correct height. My one complaint is that when I got it, one of the screw nobs on the bo... Show More

That's More Like It!

I'm a pro keyboard player and I am using the KT-7800+ Deluxe with my Roland FP-7F piano. I first tried one of the lighter versions of this bench before sending it back to exchange for this one. The difference is significant and I'm glad I made the change. The 3 pad is comfortable. The 4-position height adjustment is much easier to use than the lighter model, however, it's a 2-handed operation to operate the two spring-loaded pins that set the hei... Show More

Everything I'd hoped for and more.

I chose this keyboard bench after being so delighted with the On Stage Z-Stand I bought from B&H; the bench is just about perfect. There's no real assembly required, the materials & design are top notch and - best of all - the bench is exceedingly comfortable and easy to adjust. I find it eases my fatigue & encourages longer practice sessions while providing a very stable perch. I honestly can cite no cons to the product and I would recommend it to any size adult. As always, my service from B&H was terrific; I got a great price, proper packaging and fast shipping.

gets the job done

Jul 25, 2011

Trying to keep things to a minimum, I use this as a bench for my Yamaha keyboard and as a seat for my computer desk. It's quite comfortable, but I found that it doesn't go low enough to be optimal as a computer chair. That's o.k. since it's meant to be a keyboard bench. I was glad I chose this one over the other shorter bench since I can slide side to side as required for playing on different parts of the keyboard. The construction is good, the price is right, but I think it would be better if it had slightly more height range.

It's a winner for the most part.

I needed a strong bench that could not only hold my weight, but one that would look nice and last. This bench should last a fairly long time. It is very strong as well as reasonnably easy to change the height. The one thing to watch for on this thing is the plastic/rubber feet caps. One slid off quit easily when one of the boys slid it a few feet away from the keyboard to use it to sit on while watching his brother play a game. This could have easily been a five star if it were not for the loose and cheap feet caps.

OK, so I'm not a keyboard player.

I'm the bassplayer have been for over 40 years. So, you guessed it, I need to have a seat during long practice sessions. This bench fit the bill. Very comfortable and very portable. Adjusts high enough to comfortably play with my bass in the standard playing position not sitting in my lap. Great product and B & H had it in stock at a great price (I love to shop things out). Had it from NY to San Diego in no time, Ok well maybe a few days but it was quick and I am happy.

Sturdy & good value

Jan 22, 2020

Pros: 1. The assembly is very easy & straightforward. Adjusting height is easy too. 2. The built looks sturdy enough. Some reviews at Amazon say it could break in a short time. I hope I don't have such a bad luck. Cons: 1. The minimum height is already as high as the level for a regular piano. It's OK for me but it doesn't look like a practical range. 2. The seat is VERY firm. Again I am OK with it but it could be softer.

Great, solid bench

Apr 10, 2014

I have owned two benches from On Stage Stands over the last 10 years. This bench is just as good as the last one I owned. The adjustable height positioning is crucial to any keyboard player. The cushion is solid and firm, though I wish it was just a tad more firm to my liking. Still, very good. The metal, construction and overall durability is solid. Lastly, the price is very reasonable. You can't go wrong with this bench.

On Stage Keyboard Bench

This product does what it was designed to do, serve as a portable x-style bench. That part is well done. However, the quality of craftsmanship related to the vinyl bench cushion cover was not professionally applied. The cover is bunched up in several areas as if it had not been stretched over the cushion before being stapled into place. Plus the edge of the cover, on the side of the bench, has a hole in it.

Great Buy!

Apr 27, 2011

I bought this for my dad who has recently taken up old piano skills to form new keyboarding skills :). He had a hard time finding a bench. All he could find in any stores here were stools. So, I was so glad to find this at B&H. I've shopped with them before and not been disappointed yet! My dad is 6'3 so it was also a great feature that the bench is adjustable in height. I would recommend for sure!

Just dandy

Sep 20, 2012

I've only used this once (though I'll be using it again tonight) and it's fine. Comfortable enough, portable enough. Other reviewers mention that it doesn't fold flat in one piece, which is true, but you can connect just one side of the legs and keep it flat. Not perfect at all but at least they stay together. I wouldn't mind a greater number of height settings but it's a great inexpensive option.

Comfortable

Oct 12, 2012

This is very comfortable to use over long periods of time. The only (very picky) con is that its not super easy to slide left to right due to the surface (but not impossible!) which has more grip than a harder bench would have. This is the trade off for comfort, and its very minor. Otherwise I'm impressed by the size of the bench and it works very well with my Roland FP-7F.

EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aug 4, 2011

Having recently restarted piano lessons and being on a limited budget; I was looking for a entry level bench but a comfortable one (I spend hours at the piano). This fits the bill, very inexpensive but good quality and very comfortable. Very easy assembly ready in approx' 5 minutes so no special tools required. Great product and I would definitely recommend this to all.

Serves its Purpose Well

Aug 12, 2014

Nice sturdy bench with extra thick cushion. Wide but not meant for two people. Very well constructed and heavy. Not too wobbly on carpet. Very minor height adjustments can be made within the range by changing position of spring-loaded pegs on either leg to suit good posture at keyboard. Adjustments allow setting a comfortable seating height for 28 high keys.

Sturdy Bench

Jul 10, 2012

I used this bench for my keyboard at church. Decided to purchase one for my home. It's really sturdy and can hold a lot of weight. It also has a nice kitchen. Just make sure all the notches are in place, if one is not then the stand will bow in and by shifting your weight (turning) you can bend it. That's what happened to mine, but I still use it at home.

Perfect & Comfy

I am an amateur musician. My keyboard is in a small room and this bench easily fits underneath when I am not playing. When I do play I find the seat very comfortable and conducive to longer playing sessions. The bench is well built and it's height is adjustable to fit anyone. You get a lot of value for your money with this bench.

Very nice

Jan 28, 2011

To the point... It's very sturdy, very well made, light, comfortable, and easy to assemble. The highest praise I can give it is that when I sit on it I forget about it. What can be better than that? It has no negatives. I can think of many other uses for it too... A spare seat at the computer, a work bench, a foot stool...

Adjustable deluxe x-style Keyboard Bench

May 24, 2011

So happy to find a bench that is adjustable! I now am able to play without feeling like I'm either too high or too low with a bar stool or regular chair. The padding is so nice that it is easy to play for long periods. Good looking, sturdy and streamlined so fits under the keyboard for storage with no problem.

Great bench

May 23, 2012

So far I am really enjoying my new On Stage bench...it's comfortable, but not too soft, and fairly easy to put together. I struggled a little bit to get it where I needed, but I think it was user error more than the bench's construction. Delivery was very prompt...I think B and H is great.
