best bang for your buck
I have owned 2 of these for 17 years with no problems! they are great for smooth vocals.and with3 polar patterns you can record just about anything and it will sound like what you put into it.I mic my brothers 4 twelve 100 watt cab with the scm-1000 and it sounds just like the amp it was played on.I now have a better studio so I needed 2 more mics.I ordered them from B&H and recvd. them the next day.Very pleased with the service I recvd.

Truly awesome condenser microphone
This in my opinion is the best budget condenser microphone in the market. For about $150, it truly is a viable alternative to the venerable U 87. It has switchable cardioid, dipolar, and omni patterns, and the sound is smooth. I like it in some ways more than the U 87 because it has more definition in the upper midrange without being aggressive. A good addition to any studio.
