Bigger ball and scroll wheel equals more control with less effort
After having used all the Logitechs and even the Kensington orbit plus scroll wheel, this is the easiest to use and easiest to control out the box. The infinity scroll wheel lets you scroll down or through Long docs by spinning it with one finger without having to let go of the ball with the other fingers. Scroll is smooth but texturey, not unpleasant at all! The idea is to let more of your hand and fingers control the motions with minimal ... Show More

Great track ball, buying another one
Great track ball, smooth ball gliding, accurate, remove one start due to not so smooth scroll ring

Great trackball
I would have given this track ball five stars if it had a more fluid feel. I remember the original trackball and how fluid it felt. This one has a scroll wheel which is an excellent addition. The wheel also lacks smoothness but it has a more natural feeling when scrolling. Over all it is great trackball. Quite handy for larger desktops where you find yourself picking up your mouse all too many times to get to the other side of the screen.

Great for folks with disabilities.
These trackballs are great for folks with disabilities. You can map different functions to the buttons for complete custom configuration. It's pretty much the only input device my mother can use anymore. Aside from that, they're also rock solid and incredibly durable. I have one for myself as well. I switch between this, an old & dying MS Trackball Explorer, and a Kensington Orbit with Scroll Ring. All three are great trackballs with differing strengths and weaknesses.

Rolling Back to the Future with Expert Mouse
In a touch screen digital world, switching from Logitech MX Master mouse to Kensington Expert felt like going Back to the Future. I gave myself 7 days to work only on Kensington Expert Mouse. The tactile feedback of a large ball turned out to be extremely satisfying experience. The feature I've used the most on MX Mater, and I thought I would not have on Expert Mouse was a thumb-wheel function, which was setup to switch between the 3 virtual desk... Show More

There is no other trackball that comes close...
Love this trackball. None other like it. Probably why it has been around for decades. Have used many trackballs over the past years and this is the only one that has such a nicely weighted ball and gives me the control I want. The scroll ring makes reading long docs or web pages a breeze. Great offer on B&H... could pass up getting a new one. Had the last one for 11 years. Shipped quickly. Highly recommend.

I wouldn't recommend it.
Had a Logitech M570 wireless for many years but it started getting flaky and I really don't need wireless on my desktop pc so went with this Kensington Expert. Didn't like it right off the bat. The trackball is huge and now I can't close my PC desk drawer. The scroll ring is noisy and very low resolution, The ball gets in the way of using the buttons. The Kensington Orbit may be a better overall wired trackball mouse. The M570 has it beat by a mile.

Time Tested Design
Ive been using this model for graphics and video for as long as I can remember and no complaints. The big ball gives more precision moves and the software allows you to fine tune the action.

I have bought this product half a dozen times over the years
This is by far the best trackball every introduced to the computer world. Nothing compares. Kensington has been making them for a very long time and haven't had to change a thing. It's a smaller footprint and much quicker to get around. LOVE IT. I keep spares in case one dies or Kensington stops making them.

Great trackball
Great trackball if you use a Mac. I need precision when editing clips for my show. Couldn't be happier.

Works Great
I work with students with disabilities and this product works great. We prefer the wired version over the wireless because the buttons on the wireless are too difficulty for most of my students to access and turn the power on/off.

Trackball, 5 Star. Software for full control, 3 Star
The software is for old OS. Errors in Windows 10 event viewer. Many more when multiple users at same time. Have resolved some. Will try to run in compatibility win 7 mode, Might fix the rest. Should not have to do all this.

I have purchased this product previously only not wireless
This is the 5th Kensington Trackball I've had and I, obviously love them. This is, however, the first wireless trackball I've purchased I'm having problems with it. First it didn't want to load properly, than, once I got it working properly for a bit of time it stopped and I no longer have the red light and it doesn't work at all. It's become very frustrating and I'm back to using my old trackball,

No instructions limits use.
The product arrived on time, and it looks good. Unfortunately, there are no instructions, so I cannot use the device. There are no links to an instruction booklet or other guide. Having never used a trackball, I cannot intuit how to make it work. It appears to have four buttons, and two are disabled. I'm putting it on a shelf until I can find someone to provide me with instructions

Will buy another one when this one weqars out
I edit video using Avid Media Composer software on a PC platform. I have always used Kensington track balls since at least 1989. This is the onlyMouse I'll use.

I would absolutely buy this again.
This does exactly what I need for my new 2017 MacBook Pro. I have the MacBook Pro attached to an LG 27 monitor, and have the Trackball's USB nano receiver in one of the monitor's USB ports. I can customize the Expert Wireless Trackball, exactly the same way I have the Wired Trackball customized on my 2010 iMac.

Must Have! Extremely simplified screen navigation!!!
Awesome! Plug and play with my Mac Pro. Extremely simplified screen navigation. Not sure why it took me so long to purchase it!

The Expert Mouse saved my wrists
I developed severe tendinitis in my right wrist after years of using a conventional computer mouse. I started using my left hand to mouse and developed the same injury in that wrist. After receiving hand therapy and using the Expert Mouse, my wrists have healed. This device allows me to point, click, double-click and drag without making any of the finger motions that inflame my wrist tendons. I have used a wired Expert Mouse at home and at work for over three years. The wireless version works just as well but is much more convenient.

If you never used a trackball then you're missing out
Kensington has been making excellent mice and trackballs for decades. The trackball is highly customizable and helps me zoom along effortlessly on my 24 iMac. It has four programmable clickers and a scroll wheel that sits at the base of the trackball. Scrolling is effortless and the degree of control offered by this track ball is awe inspiring. Mice run out of real estate and your always repositioning. Track balls don't move, they stay in one place where you can control all the action. Works especially great on dual monitors and large screens.

Disappointed, Don't Like It
I bought this to replace a Logitech M570, which I like a lot for everyday use, but is not accurate enough for graphics work. Years ago I used a Logitech TrackMan Marble FX. It was discontinued, and after it died I started using the M570. I hoped this Expert Mouse Wireless Trackball would be a good replacement for the FX but it fails miserably. While it does satisfy the accuracy, for me the click and right click switches are awkwardly placed and I don't think I'll ever get used to the scroll wheel. Disappointed, don't like it.

Nice mouse
Very useful when there is no place for mouse, I use it for projector setup and audio mixing setup. The keys on this mouse are all assignable.

Excellent Choice
I'm a trackball convert. I was having a lot of wrist pain using my trackpad or mouse. The trackball is very ergonomic for me -- very comfortable and very intuitive. I really like the scrolling ring.

Gotta Lotta Balls
I love my 'dead rat'. Have used this product (or it's ancestors) since 1990 and just keep buying more of them for all my workstations. Super accurate, programmable buttons, easy to maintain. Of course, it always amazes people when I pull this out of my bag and set it down next to my tablet or laptop. No wrist pain after years of computing . . .

Didn't work for me
I'm a bass player, so the tendonitis pain I have in my arm is related to index finger, pointer finger and thumb. I found this mouse actually made things worse. This is a GREAT trackball mouse though. Great quality. Loved the 4 assignable buttons. Great for people with shoulder and neck tension due to mousing. Bottom line: Extra use of fingers and thumb was not a good fit for me.
