Got two stars because it technically works. Gain knob incredibly rough and noisy. Low gain to overload a very small window. Its either very quiet or distorting. Swivel for lightning connector very loose and whole mic wiggles allowing rattling into audio recording. Would be acceptable at half the price.

Just OK, hit or miss
This works well enough with some apps and doesn't work at all with others even though it should (Voice Memos in my iphone 6 recorded no audio whatsoever with it.) I wanted to use it for both audio applications like live performances and with film apps. It's hit or miss and sometimes the phone mic sounds better. The volume you'll get is always very low and sometimes it is incredibly static filled. Also, the case it comes with does not fit the wind... Show More
