An absolute lemon.
I buy various stuff online from B&H, so I wanted to reach as wide an audience as possible so no poor unsuspecting person buys one of these soon to be paperweights - if my own experience is anything to go by. Not able to make it work consistently
I just tried to make it work as an audio interface with my computer just to get rolling. I loaded all the drivers as instructed, connected the hardware and applied power. Fired up a Youtube video and the video would not play. The youTube video would freeze and it would tell me to restart my device. Disappointed
Im highly disappointed in this product. I ordered the Scarlett 18i8 specifically for the four Xlr ports because I was starting a podcast with me and three other individuals. Once I received the interface I only used the left side xlr ports for two mics and it worked perfectly fine. Good quality, good value - recommended
A good interface - good quality. I have one keyboard and several mics connected to the 18i8. Although the output volume seems a bit softer than my previous interface, the sound is cleaner and easy to control using the Focusrite Control software. Installation was easy on my PC. There are many plug-ins available, some free, some paid. I do not use them because I already have many such plug-ins with my DAW - but it is an option, especially if you choose to use this interface in a live performance. Overall, I would highly recommend the Focusrite Scarlett 18i8.
