Shock and awe!
I had a pair of old gamer speakers that I wanted to replace on my power graphics system for my work. I have a high end movie system so I know good sound. It has been years since purchasing speakers and the reviews were a huge help. Get these speakers! They are awesome. I sampled them with Jazz, Classic Rock, and Netflix. Granted they are not for the audiophile geek, but they really work for what they are intended to deliver.

reasonable speakers
quite functional and good speakers. I perhaps expected somewhat better sound quality, but perhaps my expectations were too high. They are certainly very reasonable speaker and there is nothing wrong with them.

Very good sound
4/5 because one the female treaded metal insert in one speaker has bad treads preventing to install the screw that holds the base plate. I will have to find the right size tap to be able to install the screw. Sound output is wonderfull.

Good Product
I use these speakers in a medium sized classroom. They work very well. The sound fills the whole room. The sound quality is good too.

Just what my TV needed
I'm pretty darn happy with these - certainly an improvement over the tiny speakers in the 26 TV these are now attached to. Only complaints - The power on light is a bright distraction and was difficult to block (as it encircles the volume knob), and I wish that there was more adjustment range of the Bass and Treble controls (though I am thrilled to have them at all - most units do not, and was one of the reasons I chose these).

Met my expectations
I purchased these based on a review from another source that rated them as one of the top 5 speaker values... and I have not been disappointed. They have very good sound quality and I would, and have, recommended them to family and friends. I would not think twice about getting another pair for other locations within the house. I use them connected to a laptop to stream Pandora during the day while I work(on low volume) and switch to iTunes when I need to crank them up for listening after work.

Among the Best for Shortwave Listening
I actually use these for shortwave listening on communicatios receivers where built-in aucio quality is not always a high priority. But in fact if you're talking about extended listening periods, poor audio quality can have a very important effect. With these speakers plugged into the headphone jack of most shortwave communications receivers, listening over a long period is most pleasurable.

Amazing Sound!
Fine details comes out clear, the bass is interesting to say coming such a small form factor and well defined.Reproduces instruments from classical music with good fidelity as well for voice.

precise sound, understated looks
I've had a pair of T20s as computer speakers for almost four years; they still deliver great sound and I was very comfortable buying these T40s, despite the price, for our living room. It's true they're intended as computer speakers, so the cord between them is not that long (maybe 4 feet), and the very best sound is also about three or four feet away. Nevertheless, even at twenty feet, the sound has a very precise feel, clear, controlled, and un... Show More

Elegant, excellent-sounding 2.0s
As one of those fortunates/unfortunates who loved the no longer available Klipsch ProMedia 2.0s until the volume control took them to cheap-parts heaven, I chose these as replacements. I use them with a 21-inch kitchen television and also for occasional background ipod playing. The Klipschs were tight, focused, accurate, with the obvious bass limitations of this category of powered speakers. The T40s, slightly larger, are tight, accurate, with im... Show More

Great Popwered speakers
These are an economical alternative to a sound bar for a TV or to use as a speaker system for a large gathering around a computer screen. The speakers deliver a good sound level, with a fairly good frequency range. Low end is noticeably better than most inexpensive computer speakers

Great! better than I have expected.
I use them with my laptop to listen music and videos. I love the sound, just enough bass and we can clearly ear each instrument and the voice and enough power to get fun. For the price I am more than satisfied but don't compare them with professionals speakers that cost thousands of dollars. Design is so so.
