ASUS 17.3 Republic of Gamers G703 Gaming Laptop

Great but with a minor issue?

I ordered the laptop on a Sunday evening and received it just 3 days later. At first it seems to be top notch in build quality, after turning it on and checking out all the specs it's a great gaming laptop at this price point, the RTX 2080 and i9-8950HK handles any programs or games with ease, even on max settings. However, the fans can get quite loud when running under load but nothing a good headset or headphones can't solve. My biggest knock... Show More though is a bright backlight bleed area on the bottom left side of the display, it's not so bad when there's plenty of color on the screen but can be quite noticeable and somewhat distracting on darker screens when watching a movie or playing a game. I read online that backlight bleed is an issue with Asus ROG laptops, this is my second one and I never really noticed backlight bleed on the G75V I've had for almost 7 years. It's quite disappointing on such an expensive laptop and would otherwise be a 5 star review.Show Less
