Compact and great sound
The keyboard is the perfect size and weight to carry with you anywhere you go. Also the sound is great and it gets really loud, albeit a bit distortion when turned all the way up.

Truly amazing!
The Yamaha reface CP is awesome! The sound quality is astounding when connected to external amp and speakers. The Rhodes, Wurli and Clav voices are true to the originals, and the vast array of simple effects for tremolo, chorus, delay etc, and the Drive allow you to replicate almost any electric piano sound you have ever heard ... PLUS I have created some quite unusual almost synth-like sounds. It's fun enough that you can take it and play with b... Show More

Amazing piece of gear
I think people are silly for being turned off by the size without even playing it. I find the mini keys a pleasure to play and very responsive to dynamics. If you need access to all octaves and are playing more complicated parts you can easily hook up a midi keyboard. For me the most important thing is sound, and this thing has tone for days. I am enamored with both rhodes settings as well as the Wurlitzer. They are warm and rich and sit well in... Show More

Great sounds, fun to play
PROS - Sounds / effects are top-notch - Portability - Popped in the 6 AA batteries and now I can have a decent sounding keyboard anywhere with no computer or wires. - Fun - This instrument has brought me immediate joy, Ive just had a blast playing this thing. CONS - Non-standard MIDI port (adapter included, but still) - Internal speakers are not great, but do the job for noodling around in a quiet space. - MIDI Rx channel is all be default. It ... Great Sounds but Limited Use
Great sounding little keyboard however you cant record the sounds into Ableton Live. You can only use this keyboard as a controller...Kind of a bummer I was hoping for a bit more interface capability. I wouldnt have made this purchase if I had known this, but theres not a lot of clarity on the Internet for this type of function :-(

Yamaha Reface CP is a portable powerhouse!
There are a ton of reviews and videos out there for this product, so I'd just like to point out a couple of the features I was particularly pleased with. I was skeptical at first about the playability of the mini-keys, but they are actually really pleasant and responsive to the touch. You really have to hammer them down for the strongest attacks on the velocity sensitive keys, though. I haven't had the chance yet to use it as a controller for ano... Show More

Yamaha reface CP
Great little keyboard. Keys feel semi weighted. I had a chance to try out all 4 of the reface keyboards at a recent music event. This one was my favorite.

Portable & HQ Sound
I'm in love with my new Reface CP because its portability and its sound, maybe not with its built-in speakers but it's such a good thing you can connect it with an external amplifier.

Great sound
The tone on these sounds is fantastic ! Especially the brilliant sound of the "secret hidden" acoustic piano. That puts this keyboard over the top. Yes, keys are a little small, but you can always midi trigger with different keyboard if it bothers you. Also, any cheap sustain peddle works nicely. Secret hidden sound acquired by turning keyboard on while sound setting type is in between any of the factory settings, ie RDI and RDII.

Generally a great buy! very portable and easy to play.
Great for gigs--easy to transport, incredible tone. The built in speakers are tinny and distort somewhat easily, but honestly that's not really a big deal for me. Be aware the actual key size is small, so it takes a bit of adjusting if you're used to standard sized keys. Generally a great buy! very portable and easy to play.

Fantastic Sound, mobility - odd design choices
As a college student, this is keyboard is perfect for it's light-weight mobility. While I leave my larger and heavier keyboards at home whenever I go back and forth between dorms and apartments, the Yamaha Reface CP goes where I go. Not only that, it's perfect for trips or being taken on-the-go as a mobile piano since it has the option to run on batteries. It's the perfect compositional tool. I take it with me to my songwriting club, and it's flex... Show More
