I was absolutely intrigued by the announcement of the Bose SoundWear Companion and patiently, I waited until I bought it recently and OH MY EARS. Worth EVERY sweet penny I invested for it. Sounds is clearly audible above 1 bar of sound
When I had first tried these on a year or two ago in a Bose store, it seemed like the sound is isolated to the wearer. Now that I had bought it, Im not sure if Bose changed the way this is made or not. When the volume is set to be above 1 bar (1 above from no sound), the sound is almost inaudible to people nearby. Terrific!
While casually listening to podcasts or NPR, I want to maintain as much connection with my surroundings as possible. Sounds Good, Trouble Finding a Use For It
Its a very comfortable device and it sounds pretty good. I like the fact that there's no headphones on my head and at a moderate volume the person a few feet away can't hear it. I bought this based on the really good price B&H had on it but I am sort of struggling to find a use for it. I'm not sure it would work well at the gym. BOSE soundwear is worth to invest in.

Works for me
The sound quality for this nitch product is good but not great. Headphones will give you much better quality sound. However I wanted something I would not have to wear on or in my ears while walking my dog in a suburban environment. This product is comfortable to wear and produces decent sound quality so I am happy with it. Also I have found that battery charges do last 10 or so hours. Also be aware that people close to you can hear it.

Did not work fresh out the box
Did not work. Wouldn't turn on or charge. After doing some digging turns out it has the wrong firmware installed on the device, which requires a laptop/computer running Microsoft 10 OS. I returned it. In my opinion when paying that price, everything should be in order when unboxing your brand new premium speaker. After all it's a bluetooth speaker and not a rocket ship.

My bose speaker looks great
Great sound and design. Great Bose quality. Easy to set up. Also you can set up the Bose app (optional). Was very easy to connect to bluetooth. Tells you the battery life each time you switch on. Battery is excellent as I had my speaker on during my night shift from 10pm to 7am and when I finished at 7am it still had 60 percent left. Highly recommended.

Very easy to wear
This innovated piece of equipment allows one to enjoy loud sounds without closing off the outside world Pros-keeps you in touch the outside world without annoying those around you.very comfortable to wear Cons-those next to you can still hear but at lower volume it will not eliminate the use of headphones forcexample in public

Loving it !!
I really love this product. I use it for attending calls and for hearing music at home. I dont like having a headphone or earbud on my ear for a long time. This works perfect for me. Sound clarity is pretty good. But this is definitely not for an open office as the sound leaks considerably. After all its a speaker.

Everything I could ask for in a pair of headphones!
Well worth the price! And the sound is dreamy! Easy to pair with my devices. Perfect for indoor bike trainer workouts, puttering around the house, and even more awesome: they stay put while I am MOUNTAIN BIKING! I can listen to tunes and still have perfect trail awareness. Love them!

Very nice
I got these because where I live others are bothered by noise. These are just the ticket. I can have sound without disturbing others in the building and dont have to wear headphones. They also work well to listen to my music while driving. The cost is the downside.

Bose SoundWear Companion Speaker
The first one i bought was defective and was returned to Argos for a replacement. Not a good first impression of Bose products. However, the replacement works perfectly. I don't like earphones or headphones, so these speakers work for me. They're awesome !!!

Makes life better.
A great unit for single person enjoyment of music, either on phone or HD radio via phone. Great for hands-free phone use in older cars not otherwise equipped. A real boon for someone with partial hearing loss as well; makes cell phone use a pleasure again.

Great Sound
We have purchased two of these. Great for listening to music. We also use it as a hearing device for an elderly person via a Bluetooth transmitter to hear TV. Very satisfied with this product. I like to walk around and get exercise while enjoying my music!

Not Great but A Keep
Nice treble and vocal, lacks deep base and rich mid range to create dimension. Nevertheless, it gives me a pleasure wearing it and walking around doing things around the house. Laying down and lifting it closer to the ears makes much fuller sound.

Nice speakers
The main problem from reviews was that it doesn't have a USB C charger. I thought what's the problem? Now that I have it, I see the problem. It's hard to plug in the charger anyway but it's made even harder with the micro USB.

Amazing electronic device
So handy to handle phone calls when busy with cooking, or other chores, desktop work, or even when driving. Great while biking, to listen to music, as I hate wearing earphone / headphone. Not forget, the Bose quality sound!

Glad I did!
Love this thing. Not for when youre among other people, but when youre alone, its a winner. Great bass too. Quickly got used to having around my neck and is so much better than headphones. Highly recommended.

Smart
Got these for Xmas for my wife, she doesn’t like headphones but with these sitting around the shoulders she loves them, very easy to connect and the sound is brilliant, ( I will use them as well)

Excellent sound considering the size
Generally, I don't like the Bose sound because the middle register is usually missing but the SoundWear is excellent, considering its size and price.
