Best camera I've ever owned!
Overall, this camera is great. I have a large inventory or A-mount lenses, so the A7 line (E-mount) is a good match. Highlights: 1. Fast focusing 2. Low light capability 3. Must Have DSLR for A Mount Shooters
This camera is capable of extreme detail and has outstanding color rendition. Highly reccomend to shoot with po grade lenses that are capable of resolving the detail in sensor capture. Personally I am using this camera for landscape and close up work. I shoot with camera mounted on tri pod for maximum quality and image enlargement. I have shot with A Mount gear for close to thirty years. The ergonomics are a plus too. A younger photographer might opt for E Mount camera and lenses. With a solid collection of A mount glass this camera is very satisfying. No reason to swith my system.

Best DSLR CAMERA IN THE WORLD
I took a few hundred pictures with this camera in this week end . It is not only a fantastic camera . I think it is one of the best camera in the world.The dynamic range is very good and the picture has a lot of details. The noise is acceptable even at ISO6400.I am very impressed with the JPG format I hardly noticed any noise at ISO 6400 . The focus is fast and the 5 axis stabilization system work very well.This camera should worth over $6000 .This is a Great Christmas Gift for A mount Fans.The picture was taken at ISO 6400,1/30sec,f7.1at 400mm ,HANDHOLD.....

Sony Alpha 99II
Took delivery of the A99II from B&H in early December. Been using an Alpha 77II. The full frame 42Mp chip is great! Nice upgrade from the APS-C chip in the A77II. Main use is for sunsets/sunrises and landscape. I use Manual mode and manual focus 99% of the time. Auto focus is very fast and reliable when used. Attached photos are handheld using P mode, auto focus, stabilization off, F7.1, 1/200 sec, ISO200. Two frames stitched in PhotoShop. Lenses is the Sony SAL1650. Location is the Spur Cross Ranch, Cave Creek, AZ. Love the camera and well worth the wait.

Benefits of mirrorless in a ergonomic body
For me the a99ii is the perfect combination of technologies. It combines many of the innovations of mirrorless cameras like the EVF, focus peaking, zebras, in body stabilization with classic A-mount features such as the larger body, fully articulating screen and traditional controls. I also see A-mount lenses as a great opportunity to find bargains as some of the top of the line lenses can be found for less then half of their list price and come very close to the performance of the newer, more expensive E-mount counterparts.

Amazing Camera
I finally managed to add this to my collection and it does not disappoint. Low light photography is great and image resolution with a Zeiss 85mm F1.4 is phenomenal. The only downside would be the vertical grip with two batteries in total. Using the Sony a99 I had the opportunity of using three batteries which included my vertical grip and I never had to worry about anything. Great camera for professional and hobbyests who want bettero
What a great camera. You can customize it, it takes great shots. Pricy, but good value. I miss the built in Flash and GPS (it obtains this inf from paired smartphone). It has a great hybrid autofocus system, but you can only use it with the proper lens... A Sony made for full frame. The size and weight are better than most Full frame DSLRs. Battery life seems poorer than many in this class, but if you have a couple of spare batteries, not a issue. I do recommend this camera if you need the functions and pixel count.

A99II is the perfect camera for all uses. Seriously.
It is exactly the camera I wanted. It has lightning fast autofocus and an amazing number of frames per second AND the image quality is as good anything out there. Before this, I used the A77II for sports, but the image quality was not great, and my A7rII for everything else, which has better IQ, but is not good for sports. The A99II combines and adds to the best of both and is my perfect camera for all things. Also, I had my A-mount lenses, so I have no need for new investment in lenses.

AMAZING and Worth the Wait
I've been waiting for the a99 II release for what seemed like an eternity, but I'm so glad it's here and so excited that I have it in my hands. I am upgrading to the a99 II from my a77, which I loved. I just received it today and so far I absolutely LOVE it. It's super fast, awesome in low light and takes sharp images. The body of the camera fits really nice in my hands as well. Looking forward to getting out this weekend to take some shots at a wild life refuge.

Yes would buy again.
Bought in anticipation of use on a wildlife safari this Spring. Camera is an excellent companion to the A77 II and is matched excellently with the Tamron 70-200 SP and 150-600 SP lenses. Incredible buffer increase from earlier model, especially with 42MP sensor and up to 11 Frames Per Second shooting. Seems rugged and more than capable still shooter. Sony hit a home run with this model, at a price point half of the competitions'.

The best DSLR camera by Peter138
It focus very fast, perfect for wildlife and spot photography . There is almost no noise notice at ISO 6400. The shutter is soft and quite.The 5 axis stabliziation system works very well.I took a handhold picture with 70-400mm lens at 400mm , 1/25sec, ISO 6400 ,no camera shake .Check the upload picture.No another camera can compare this camera even at higher price range. I am very impressed with this camera, highly recommend.

Problems with continuous video AF and televonverters
This is a great camera for photography but is limited for videography if you use continuous autofocus. Continuous autofocus only works in program mode. The continuous autofocus does not function with third party teleconverters, however works in single autofocus with third-party teleconverters. The Sony Tele converter only works with Sony lens so this is a limitation in using third party lens for sports or birding.

Finally!
I pre-ordered very early. I just received it on December 5th and am still getting acquainted with it but the photos thus far are great. Still learning the ins and outs of the menus and buttons. I upgraded from an a65 but I also have an a7ii and RX100ii so there are menu similarities. I bought 2 lenses and am using some older full-frame lenses already in my possession. I am a hobbyist, not a professional.

Worth The Wait!
Outstanding Camera! Worth the wait but it would have been great to have had 2 years ago. Body has a good solid feel and positioning of controls combined with flexibility of reassigning button functions is downright remarkable. Low light capabilities and quality of images is unbelievable. Best Sony camera ever made.
From beginning with the a100 and moving to the a700, a77ii, a99 and now the a99ii, I can honestly say this is the best Sony camera I have ever used. I use it for photojournalism and sports photography. Zero problem shooting at 16000 to 25600 iso during nighttime ballgames. Paired with a Tamron 70-200 2.8, Minolta 100mm 2.8 and a 24-75 2.8, you will get sharp photos and great detail in all photos.

12 FPS when E Mount/Canon/Nikon are still 5 FPS
The headline alone is enough to make this body worth your while if you like sports, action, or wildlife photography. Not to mention photographing children or events. Even if you don't, the 5-axis IBIS is pretty amazing here and works even better on A Mount bodies than E Mount mirrorless frames because of the physics of larger vs. smaller diameter mount sizes. Buy this body! I did.

My dream camera
Such a versatile camera. Has it all, with low light capabilities, sports action shots(12 fps), and near limitless programming options. The images produced are wonderful. If you can afford it, make sure to marry it with high quality class that will compliment the 42mp sensor. I use this camera for shooting my real estate listings, family photos, and high school sporting events.

Resolution is awesome.
Wow, great big beautifully sharp files. Ideally I try to shoot without cropping, however with 120mb rgb files you can crop and still have good size files. Not crazy about the grip, when shooting 90 minutes straight felt fatigue, needs to be larger. The perfect grip would be the a900 with the weight of a emount a7 series body. Shutter is real quiet.

The a99 Mark II is a True Master Piece!
I've been a loyal Canon user for years and felt a little guilty about jumping ship. However, after using this camera a few times, I feel very comfortable with my decision. This camera truly ROCKS! On paper, the specs are great but to see this beast in action is Awesome! Sony just has work on bringing down the cost of their lens.

Love It
I have only had this camera for a short time. I previously had the A77. The focus is so much faster and the low light shooting is so much better and the pictures I have take so sharp. There are a lot of great upgrades. I will see how this is for photographing flying birds tomorrow. So far I am very happy.

Wow, is this wonderful
I just received this body. To add to my collection of full frame A bodies. 43 mp, is incredible. I can't imagine what 60+mp is like. This camera is so solid, my first flower photo is incredible. Can't wit to do modeling and wildlife, & everything in-between. I have lot's to learn, but first impressions!

Love this camera
I read all of the reviews on many cameras. Part of the reason I bought this one is my Minolta lens. I am in love with this beast. That is what I call it The Beast. It is easy to learn and may have more than I have learned, but don't think so. The photos are so vivid, every detail shows. I am in love.

Amazing Low Light Camera!
Im sure you have seen all the reviews, yes this camera is amazing! I dont think people talk about how amazing the low light capabilities are with this camera! I took it out last weekend at 2am and shot some amazing shots in and outside of the clubs and bars! 5 star rating in my book!
