Best camera
I jumped from a Nikon D3100 to this beast. Not regretting anything. Worth the investment. Id say to do research on this camera before you buy it. This camera is right for me because I have done extensive research and reviews about this camera. It was the perfect fit for me, doing videos, so I went for it.

Top Notch
Got rid of everything From my Canon Eco system and havent looked back. Great focus, great video, lighter setup. Very impressed. Only issue Ive had is with the Lexar memory cards. Have since ordered new ones (Sony branded) to help rectify that issue. Thank you B&H for easy and fast shipping! Looking forward to purchasing more gear for my photo & video needs!

Camera is amazing, lens is very disappointing
Theres nothing to say about this camera that hasnt already been said, its brilliant. However, i bought this with the Vario-Tessar FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens. DO not get this lens option. I bought it because its f4 all the way through, and because its supposed to be dust and weather proof, but it isnt. Rant begins here: The first trip to the beach, I placed it on a tripod and shot a 20 minute long timelapse. Immediately sand got stuck in the zoo... Show More

Very good, just short of great.
I moved from a Nikon D810, which was getting heavier and heavier to lug around, to the A7 iii. About 70% of my photo shoots are street or portraits. I sent the first few photos shot with the camera to a friend, a very experienced photographer. He declared them to be technically excellent [he didnt comment on subject matter or artistic value :-)] Ongoing shoots have yielded good results. Ive photographed indoors, resulting in ISOs of 5100. The pho... Show More

Almost perfect for price point
This camera is phenomenal but it does have some quirks that keep it from being perfect. Most issues are ergonomics, for one, the menu button is on the left. I tend to hold the camera mostly in my right but have to always bring my left hand up to hit menu so I can go to the favorites menu. Also, the microphone input is butted up next to the camera strap. That port is going to break with a strap attached to the camera. As for functions inside th... Show More

Great all around
Im a photo and video maker and wanted something that can rock with both. It has great quality for video and photos BUT I have been a canon 5D mark user for years and I still get less grain and low light performance on different body. Sadly doesnt do as great in low light. Other then that I rock with it.

Hard to fault. Incredible camera for the money
To get to the point, for $2000 this is an incredible camera. I do not have experience with other brands except a few clicks of friends cameras so I cant really compare. I can say though that having upgraded from a Sony a6300 (crop sensor) to the a7iii (full frame) I have zero regrets and no concerns over the price. I shoot mostly in natural light, sports, outdoor pursuits etc. Having so many custom button options gives the ability to set up the c... Show More

love this more than i thought i might
I was debating between the A7Riii and the A7iii... maybe Id want the extra resolution of the A7Riii, but maybe the autofocus and low light capability of the a7iii would be better for me. After renting the A7Riii I ended up buying the A7iii and am super happy with the decision!

This camera is above and beyond!
I had Nikon D750 and needed upgrade and decided to go with Sony A7 iii. I cant say how impressed I am with this camera! Its not just better quality, it is better system and much more accurate in terms of focus and perfect image.

Third times the charm.
This is Sonys third version and its great. I bought the original a7, and returned it in 24 hours. Way to slow to focus. I have been mostly a Nikon shooter for the past 15 years, and most recently used the D850, but before that had D810, D800, Df, D750, a bunch of cameras. I always wanted the small size of Sony, but what really sold me was that after I ordered a Nikon Z6, I read the reviews and discovered the Eye Auto Focus on the a73. Wow! Nikon ... Show More

Game Changer for on the fly lighting changes.
I grew up shooting Canon mk1, then mk2, then mk3, they decided to give mirrorless a shot. I loved the what you see is what you get on the back LCD. No fiddling taking snap shot after snap shot to adjust exposures or testing f stops for a desired Bokeh. Its amazing to pick my f stop for my blur, set my shutter speed and just dial in my iso by watching the LCD without taking one pic. I do a lot of wedding photography and the constant lighting changes going from room to room inside and out made manual iso a breeze. I will probably never go back to DSLR. Thanks Sony for an amazing product.

Swiss Knife ....Low light assassin
After being an avid user of any canon equipment i decided to switch to sony after being robbed. *when will these camera manufacturers develop some sort of iCloud platform for our expensive cameras* Anyway the settings took some time getting used to but afterwards, i have been unstoppable with this camera . I dont even use a speed light at night paired with my sigma 35mm.

Great camera!
Once you set your custom menu and settings, you are good to go. The video and photo quality are excellent. I'm glad I made a switch from Canon. I can still use my canon lens by using Sigma MC-11 (recommended too).

HIgh Cost - High Quality
I'm an advanced amature converting from Nikon to Sony. I didn't have much glass invested in Nikon and none would fit Sony anyway so the change was fairly easy. The more I learn about this camera, the more I love it. Read MANY reviews. Still, I'm finding little gems like hold the shutter down half-way in manual focus mode and getting a zoomed-in image in the viewfinder that lets me focus on minute details. Very cool! I'm a frugal sort, so I'm p... Show More

Awesome Camera
This is my first Sony camera, I previously shot on a Nikon D600. When I started shooting with the a7III I could not believe how much better my pictures were. I was prepared for some of the features that I had heard about, but when I started shooting with this camera everything changed. For example, I new about the evf, zebra stripes, and focus peaking for video work, but the interesting thing is that you can use these features for still photograp... Show More

At last I don't have to be afraid of high ISOs!
I photograph a lot of events which are often in dark venues. While I love my micro43 bodies and lenses, the images do get noisy above ISO 800. I can use higher ISOs with them but noise reduction reduces detail. The first time I used ISO 12,800 with this camera was was blown away by the quality. I decided to test the image against those taken with the micro43 cameras at ISO 12,800. I made sure to keep increasing the exposure compensation in those ... Show More

Fear not moving from Canon. Everything is gonna be alright.
Summary: I have been a Canon user for 15 years and I was very hesitant to jump to the Sony A7 III for several reasons (see below) but none of them were a problem at the end and after a few weeks of usage I am definitely very happy with it. More details: Reason 1: Sony Menu System navigation. A lot of folks says the Sony system is hard to navigate, but after taking the time to look at it and understand it it is not this hard. Great Camera even for a beginer
Over the last couple of years I have been getting into photography. I have been traveling to alot of amazing places and wanted to learn how to capture those moments. I started out with a Sony A6000 and that was a good little camera for what it was. What I was missing was the opportunity to shoot video in 4k. I then moved on to the Sony Rx100 mkV. I still use this camera it is the best point n shoot camera on the market. I have been looking to get... Show More

Great Camera
I am a Sony shooter and now I upgraded to A7iii from Sony a7II. I'm very happy with that, the difference is considerable, especially when thinking at improved autofocus capabilities and low light performance. Focuses very quick and the Eye autofocus works like a charm. The image remains impressively clean and sharp at high ISO's. Battery lasts much longer, the buffer is considerably improved, the viewfinder gets sharp and clean images, the silent... Show More

After one week, so far so good
I'm a full-time photojournalist and recently did a partial switch from Nikon to the Sony a7III mirrorless and love it so far. I just shot with it in a courtroom where a man was being sentenced for a string of violent attacks. I was able to shoot in silent mode without being a distraction in the courtroom and produce great images. It's going to take some time getting use to the camera and the menu system, but the pluses of the camera so far are: high ISO capabilities, silent shooting, light weight body and the electronic viewfinder are awesome.

fantastic equipment
I have not yet the necessary time to go through all of Sony Alpha7IIIs resources and capabilities. I will probably need at least a month or so in order to go through all important items in the menu, but, so far, I am more than pleased with it.
