Great but not perfect
The a6300 is definitely an upgrade from my previous Sony Nex 5r. The primary upgrades with the a6300 include higher resolution, built in electronic view finder and flash, slog, 4K, additional shutter speeds, and 120 frame rate to name a few. The major negative aspects include rolling shutter in 4K and limited articulating screen.

Loving the Camera
Got this with the 16-70mm Zeiss Lens and the Metabones Smart Adapter for my Canon lenses. So far it's been great. A fantastic replacement for my 7D. I've used it with the Canon 50mm 1.4 and Canon L 70-200mm f2.8 IS II and they both work well with the metabones and this Camera. I'm glad I chose this. B&H has always delivered well.

Excellent camera A+
I bought my sony alpha a6300 after a looong research and It was soo worth it. The size, the power, the quality of pictures is top of the line. This small camera is the bomb. Easy to use and super fast to focus. Picture resolution is great! Very happy with it and I can't wait to buy more lenses to keep taking amazing pictures!!!

Could not be happier!
I have had the Sony A6000 for a bit over a year and have been delighted. None the less I could not wait for the upgrade. Being as new as it is, I have not have extensive experience with it but absolutely no complaints. One great upgrade is that it now lets you choose whether you want to be able to shoot without cards or not.

Sony a6300
Just purchased and took on family trip to New England. Had Nikon 35 mm previously, followed by point and shoot digital. Had tough time deciding between DSLR and mirrorless, but having the fastest autofocus of any camera, plus the likelihood that mirrorless will eventually replace DSLR, I chose the 6300 and am happy with it.

It keeps getting better
This is my 5th Sony E-mount camera counting the a7. I use mostly FE lens when I can on the a6300 and they work fine. The new features I like are the silent shutter and the fact that the a6300 is a little easier to handle than the a6000. The focus seems to be a bit faster also. In the meantime I'm saving up for the a7rII.

Review for Sony a6300
I used it top shot the aurora in Alaska. It's really decent under high ISO without too much noises. The camera itself is really compact and stable. If you are looking a travel camera and don't want to lose the quality of your photo. Grab this camera. Trust me, sometimes it's even better than a full-frame one such as A7

Love this camera!
This camera takes incredible shots right out of the box! A coupe cheap photography lights and I was shooting beautiful portraits. The video quality is incredible too. I've had many 4K cameras, and I can really tell a difference with the 6K to 4K conversion this camera features. Incredibly versatile. Highly recommend.

Easy to transport
My primary camera is a large Nikon. Purchased this Sony to carry on vacations or to just thrown in my purse. The 6300 seems fairly easy to use and so far the photos have been very good. Will be looking for an additional lens. The price included a camera bag, SD card, and additional battery which added to the value.

You can never have too many...
This is my third a6300 because it is just about perfect for my applications. The needs of the user is essential to determine if a camera is right for you. What some might find as a limitation, I find as an asset. The small size and weight, super fast focus, and high frame rate are perfect for capturing fast action.

Great Camera
This Sony a6300 is a great camera. The camera worked out of the box. The settings are easily accessible and easy to change. I captured a lot of footage in 4K and the quality is excellent. I want to keep this review short and simple, I highly recommend this product to any videographer both amateur and professional.

Best camera I've owned
The Sony a6300 excels at all uses, from day, night, motion, to video. Transferring photos wirelessly from the camera to my smartphone is seamless. This is a great camera and I highly recommend it. I am a beginner with photography, so I have only used the kit lens, but even with it I have captured some great shots.

Best Mirrorless Cam under 1 grand.
Its a great camera, use it for real estate, surfing, landscapes and timelapse. I have the Nex 5t and this is just the same as that but on steroids. The lens works between them and the amount of lens available is increasing. For the price its a great deal! Camera makes a fine photo, and its easy to handle.

great camera!
I own the A6000 and this camera improves on an already stellar camera. AF is quite fast and accurate, nice improved evf, better body feel, and of course awesome video additions. To address Jean Pierre Ballard's review, Adobe has updated to support the A6300 raw files now so I hope you update your review.

Awesome Camera!
This camera is an amazing photo and video camera. I have been using it since it was released and it has been excellent. I would for sure reccomend getting another lens as well. The kit lens is decent but does not hold up to the professional standards. The 4K is amazing and the 24mp is perfect for stills.

The right choice
Oh I read/watched so many reviews about this little guy, and I'm glad I pulled the trigger. Image quality is great in such a small package. Only two things that might prevent you from getting this, depending on your needs: rolling shutter in 4k is TERRIBLE, and lack of stabilization is an issue as well.

Great camera for the money and size.
I am a pro photographer and I bought this as a travel camera. It looks like it will do everything I need it to do with decent quality. The menus are kind of confusing and the controls seem delicate, but it looks like it will do the job. It is replacing my old Nikon 8400 which is getting really obsolete.

Buy it... or a6500
Great camera, i think one of the best cameras out there. Still there are some drawbacks not mentioned in many reviews - right after taking a photo, while photo is been saved to sd card, you can't change settings and can't even delete image, you have to wait for 2-3 seconds, or more if you shoot burst.

Overheating - not good -- unusable
As another reviewer pointed out, this camera is totally unusable for 4K footage. It overheated after about 20 minutes. It's a shame that Sony can't fix this. Sony, stop selling garbage products with overheating issues. Your competitors like Panasonic have NO overheating problems. Very disappointed!!

Fun camera to use
Use it with the Sony 16-70 f/4 lens as a travel/hiking system that is compact, light weight, good quality, and has plenty of features. Negative is the lack of good instructions from Sony either in the box or online. Need to scour the web to find 3rd party videos showing how to use some features.

Great digital camera
Terrific camera with full capabilities (which will take a while to fully explore). Great alternative lens selections. I purchased the Sony 50 mm f1.8, Zeiss 12 mm and 16 -70 mm zoom lenses. Beautiful shots using automatic settings and great flexibility using other scene and exposure settings.

New favorite camera.
Have only used the camera a few time but have found it to be fast and easy to operate. Photographs produced by the 16-50 lens are good and it is a useful combination to carry around - small and light compared with a full sized DSLR. The a6300 is a very powerful camera in a small package.

Sony a6300 review
Excellent size, almost pocket size, light weight, great ergonomics, easily balanced and shoot on one hand, fast start up and extremely quick auto focus, vivid colors even in extremely low light conditions, operating software typical Sony, a bit quirky. Very happy with this camera choice.
