Surprising well made
I am an audiophile at heart. I have cables for my IEM that cost 4 times as much as this headset. But when it comes to gaming, I rather have a headphone w/mic for ease. So it was rather surprising that the audio clarity was very nice! With the close ear version, the sub & bass is nice and boomy while keeping the highs clear. Great sounding headsets
A great headset the sound is one of the best I have heard from a gaming headset. The passive sound isolation is the best I have ever had. I use them between my GSX1000 and amp. The surround sound with the GSX is phenomenal. The overall sound is great bass is a little elevated but it does not mess with the mids and highs and it still has that deep punchy bass you need in gaming headsets. Overall just a top end headset if i was to gripe would be the comfort a little to tight for my taste mic sounds great too.

Headphone boom inaccurate, audio death ~1 year after receipt
Mic audio quality is outstanding, and so is headphone audio quality. Frustrating quality issues like the microphone boom click is inaccurate and now the audio has died as well. I contacted Sennheiser repair so I'm thinking I'll get a replacement. However if this is a common problem I can expect to be out of warranty when I have a breakdown on the pair I receive.

Top Notch
High quality gaming headset. Ear pads are very comfortable and provide a good fit. A little tight at first, but loosened up nicely after a week, or so. Although they are a bit on the larger side they do fit comfortably. Overall a very good gaming headset - very happy with my purchase.
