IS seems to have issues.
I wasn't able to get sharp photos from this lens on my GX1 when the IS was employed. Not sure what the issue was, but I get better results from the 45-200.

Don't judge a book by it's cover
Semi Pro- Needed a camera and a lens to walk around. I bought the Olympus P3 but did not like the Olympus lens. So looking around I decided on the Panasonic lens. Very, very.very sharp. small and light weight. Again don't judge a book by it's cover. Panasonic is in with Leica on some of there lens so you know the glass is good.

remarkable stabilization clarity
This lens does everything it promises. I am most impressed with the clarity of the most shaky-handed zoomed photography with this lens. It is extremely lightweight, small size for the zoom range, and does not put my GF-1 out of balance like the heavier offerings with similar specs. By spec this is not a low-light lens. I use this lens for outdoor or well-lit shots most of all.
