I'm very disappointed!
I totally dislike the quality of the pictures this camera takes! I requested to exchange itfor a Sony a7IIand the answer was "NO" because the I cut out the upc code from the box.I've been a happy B&H customer for over 25 years, but nowI'm very disappointed for both the product and the inability to accommodate a pretty inexpensive request. I could understand a restocking fee, but beyond that it doesn't make much sense.

Quickly fell in love with it
I really wanted a traditional rangefinder style for a 2nd camera. I use my Nikon 810 for work and wanted a smaller camera for "non-work" photography. Bought the LX100 because I got a good price on it and I fell in love with it after one use. The Leica lens is wonderful! Auto ISO/Auto exposure make it fun to use. This is my "art" camera now. I live on the Texas Gulf coast and love to explore small fishing villages with this camera. Shoot RAW and Photoshop for the best images.

Poor successor
Bought the LX100 because I experienced great functionality and resilience with its predecessor while over 3 field seasons of dusty, rough-and-tumble geology field work in the western US. Immediately noticed the noisy lens that others have highlighted when the LX100 arrived and then had a lens spot appear within a week and less than 500 pictures. Replaced that camera with another, and new lens spot appeared within a month of really careful use and handling. LX100 is good in low light, and the macro is solid but after about a year I am looking for something new. The LX100 is a poor successor.

AMAZED
After experiencing some salty reactions from my street photography shoots, I come to the conclusion I needed a smaller camera that was not as intimidating as my Canon 5D with a 35MM lens. I researched three different brands pretty hard. Although the XL100 was not as modern as the others, my research guided in that direction. I was a bit skeptical but made the purchase. After three shoots I am totally excited. This camera performed very well and w... Show More

Terrific little camera for travel and street work.
A gem of a little camera. My regular gear is a Canon 5D3 and a slew of lenses. But I find myself using this little guy more and more. While its not quite pocketable in a pair of trousers, it squeezes in most of my hiking jackets. I will use this in situations that my professional gear makes me (or my subjects) self-conscious. But the real eye opener has been the image quality. I dont like the 4 thirds format (its growing on me) but the lens is ... Show More

Great walk around camera!
I was looking for a smallest camera to take with me when I don't want to have to carry one of my Canon 6D's. This one fit the bill for me. The macro abilities were a very important part of the equation and I haven't been disappointed.

PERFECT COMPACT CAMERA
I usually shoot with an Olympus DSLR, however there are times when you cannot take all your gear with you and this compact camera is perfect. I have never used a Panasonic before, but the dials and features to change shooting modes on this are very easy to use and easy to remember how to do it--especially when it's not a camera I shoot with all the time. That said, the photos are superb and while I haven't used the video much yet, it looks good. ... Show More

I wanted to love it
This camera really is the replacement for the LX7. Many people have said that and I think it is true. If you are replacing your LX7, I think you will be happy. It takes great pictures but I already have a GX85 so this just felt like a duplication for me. This camera is smaller than the GX85 even with the tiny kit lens for the GX85. I do love the manual controls of this camera rather than the PASM dial. It makes me think I'm shooting with a Fuji. The kit that B&H has is fantastic; it gives you all you need to get out and shoot.

A Throwback meets the future
I've had my LX 100 for a couple of weeks. It's awesome: it feels like a real camera in the hand, neither too big nor too small; the images are stunning; and for the first time since I began shooting with a digital camera, I feel comfortably in control, with the aperture, shutter and exposure value dials and the viewfinder readily accessible. The LX 100 brings me back to my first shooting experiences with my old Nikons. Highly recommended!

bh - great. LX100? May be not so great
I bought this pre owned with a warranty from bh and am thrilled with their service. However, I thought this would be the last camera i ever bought. I have had dozens of cameras - 35mm and digital, and I was sick of carrying large cameras and multiple cameras. Plus this said Leica right on the lens! How much better could things get? Well, I've used it for a couple years and although I like the functionality I travel with my wife, and I finally rea... Show More

I highly recommend this camera!
This camera is easy to use and excellent in it's photo quality. I love it, couldn't be more pleased. I am an artist and require high quality photos of my work for publication web use. This camera suits that purpose in addition to general use.

Great small camera for travelling. Can replace an SLR
I bought this camera to take on a trip to Europe. Although I have SLRs I wanted a lightweight small camera with a viewfinder and multiple settings, plus a good lens. It worked out very well for me. Has the ability to shoot inside in low-light situations like churches, and is pretty fast. A good monitor. I was pleased with the photos.

Perfect for my needs.
I have had many cameras over the years. Finally wanted to try something with more user controls in a point and shoot. After reading and watching many manufacturers reviews, the Lumix LX100 met my needs. DSLR's are too large for daily use. The LX100 comes with me everywhere I go. Full auto works if my wife wants to use it. For me, getting nice sharp pictures with various in focus subjects and slightly out of focus backgrounds are easy with this LX... Show More

Amazing!
I own two large 4K cameras and was looking for something smaller to use for quick 4K b-roll. I kept reading reviews on this camera and thought it was too good to be true. Good new, this is a great video camera. The 4K footage shot as a mp4 is clean and crisp. I don't like going into menus and sub menus during shooting but Panasonic has done a great job of putting as many shortcut buttons as possible. My big hands have a tough time with the focus ... A very pleasnat surprise
I was looking for a small walk around camera that would give me good image quality to complement my Olympus E-M1 II. I'd had some Canon bridge cameras I the past that left me wanting in the IQ department. I was not looking for a long zoom as I have my other M4/3 camera for that, but something I could sling over my shoulder for those wider shots in the field or for those family/friend occasions where I didn't want to intrude with some larger DSLR-... Nice camera, seriously lacking in megapixels
This is the Panasonic version of the Leica D-LUX camera: same specs, except not the Leica brand (and not sure how it really differs or who's making whose cameras these days?). The Leica version has a very good lens and features, and I assume the same here. The main drawback for both cameras: the measly 12.8 mexapixel file size, which is pretty near the low end of the file size spectrum. Why didn't Panasonic just up the megapixel count to at least... Nice camera, but.
Lot's of things I like- It's fast and takes sharp pictures. attractive-looking, Several nice professional features in a small camera. The controls are in convenient places and has a view-finder. What I don't like: No built in flash, but has an external very small flash (too easy to lose). Small lens cap also too easy to lose; no pop up or fold out viewing screen; no touch screen; no input for a external shutter release; the menu is tricky to use ... Show More

Great Camera until the dust hits!!!!
So, I've been shooting with my little LX100 for a couple of years now and at first I loved the camera. Great dynamic ranger, great features, great controls, great image quality... Then came the first sensor dust spots. At first it was a couple of large dust spots. I vacuumed them out by extending the lens, removing the front lens ring and then using a 12 ounce plastic coke bottle with the bottom cut off to cup the lens body (custom vacuum attachm... Show More

Great image quality in a tidy package
I was looking for a small, but capable camera to use for mostly travel and hiking when I did not want to haul around one of my DSLR rigs. The things I was looking for was outstanding image quality, easy access to manual settings and intuitive controls in a tidy package at an affordable price point. The top camera on my list was the Fujifilm X100F, but I could not afford it. I next spent quite a bit of time with the Sony RX100 IV ( The V I felt wa... Show More

underwhelmed
for 4k shooting, image is fairly soft on edges, and more so on one side of frame than the other. construction is pretty clunky. I suppose we are expected to shift to newer models, but the price/features payoff isn't too compelling. bottom line, as a photographer I am used to getting better quality out of my gear--I guess expectations are lower in this market segment.

good fundamentals camera
this is my second time buying this--first one needs service for failed autofocus, and I wanted to have a spare anyway since my main use is in an underwater housing that costs more than the camera does (about 2x more in fact). I like the degree of manual control and dedicated dials--rare for a camera of this type. it is impressively tiny. the camera concentrates on the essentials; you could in principle do a lifetime's worth of work on this thing,... serves a purpose
overpriced, and easily separates (the filter from the frame). but there's no denying that it helps your underwater footage. just be sure to bang the GoPro on your hand underwater after each and every time you surface, or bubbles lodged between the filter and lens will spoil everything.

I'm not a professional but I've been taking photo's since my dad bout me a Canon AE-1 back in 1980 which I still have along with a newer Canon DSLR and many lenses.
