Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera with 14-42mm Lens (Black)

So much more than I expected!
Have always been faithful to Canon but this little camera has made me change my ways. Incredibly portable, super sharp images, and video capability have made me realize my dslr days are over. I didn't think I would give up my Canon 7D and EF lenses because I do a lot of sports photography but again, I was wrong. The 4D and auto-track are perfect for covering all kinds of fast-action shots. Mirrorless micro 4 3 is my future. Really happy with my decision!

Best G Series yet!
This is an excellent camera for almost anything. I use mine for kids' sports, wildlife and travel. It's very handy and the IQ is excellent.

Pleased x 5
I intend to use this in two scenarios. Exterior architectural photography and as an aerial video camera on an S1000. Weight is always a factor in aerial work, so this camera is perfect fit for my intended use. Yes, the Gh4 is proven, and I have to wait for a camera specific gombal, but I'm OK with short wait. The remote app is also awesome, especially in a tablet. The menues are intuitive and I feel more confident with each bit of time I spend exploring.

Perfect for Parents
I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. This camera has quickly become my favorite for using to capture the time spent with my family. The 4k mode allows me to capture my kids without having to get them to slow down making capturing our memories that much easier! I did struggle to figure this camera out, but once it clicked on what I was doing wrong use was extremely easy. This is the perfect camera for parents!

I Love this camera. The 4k burst mode is awesome. 30 photos per second is Amazing! I am using all my vintage manual lenses with ease and getting fantastic results. This camera is really a blast and fun to shoot with 4k. The price it is a really a bargain. Thanks B&H

Great Camera
I purchased this a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I am a long time member of the Canon camp and i was a little hesitant about adding a micro four thirds camera into my gear bag. I love the pictures and video I'm able to capture in such a small form factor.

Great for summer family outings!
I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. I've owned a few LUMIX cameras so I was eager to try the LUMIX G7 for summer outings. Boy, was I blown away. Summer's a time when my family's on the go and the kids are constantly in motion. As a photography enthusiast, I'm big on capturing memories, but at almost 9 months pregnant, I no longer feel like lugging around my big bodied DSLR. I love that the LUMIX G7 is lightweight, but... Nice Camera, better than GH4 in some cases
I Use it mainly for PHOTO and Video. First I wanted a GH4, but G7 is cheaper and in some cases better than GH4 especially in low light. It does its job exceptionally, but the battery gives a low autonomy. Panasonic would better launch a GH5 faster, otherwise , G7 will make cannibalism with GH4 , as it is cheaper and better !

Power, sharpness, and performance in a small package!
I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. As a professional photographer, I am used to working with heavy, cumbersome camera bodies, so when I first held the Lumix G7 I had low expectations. Guess what? It blew me away! Not only is it extremely lightweight, but it is one powerful device. Color saturation is true to life, lines are sharp and smooth, and low light performance is much better than I would expect from a non-dslr... Show More

Small in Size, Big in Quality
Disclaimer: I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. When you pick up the Panasonic Lumix G7 the first thing you may notice is the weight of the camera. It is lightweight with a sleek design making it perfect for carrying along on trips or day outings. But that is only one great feature of the Lumix. Where you really find a big difference is once you start shooting with it. With three different 4K shooting modes (4K Burst,... Show More

Amazing Photo Clarity and Lightweight
I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. I am not a professional photographer and have read a few books so I consider myself just a baby step above armature when it comes to photography. I recently received the Lumix G7 to review and my initial impression is that I am very impressed. Photo Quality: The photo quality taken either as a single photo or as a 4K photo is crisp, clear, and sharp. More so than any camera I have o... Show More

Simply Amazing!
I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. There are so many cameras on the market, ranging from amateur to professional, and point and shoot to DSLR. Today's cameras can not only take still photos but also 4K video. How awesome is that, right? Pretty darn awesome. Choosing which camera is right for you can be extremely difficult, but it doesn't have to be. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 has both beautiful photo capture as well ... Show More

I'm loving the 4K photo modes
I received a Panasonic LUMIX G7 camera. All opinions are my own. Since we are a family of six with different interests, we often find ourselves at one outing or another that I want to document in photos. I always take a plethora of pictures, with the hopes of catching those perfect moments we can appreciate for years to come. I want us to have memories to look at when times get tough and we need a reminder of how blessed we are. I also like to ta... Show More

Perfect action shot every time!
After feeling like I had mastered my entry level DSLR, I started researching my options for an upgrade. During my search I came across the new mirrorless technology and was instantly intrigued. Having the functionality of a DSLR but with a much more lightweight and smaller body really appealed to me. The mirrorless technology was what originally got me interested, but the 4K photo and video are what finally sold me on this camera! That, and the i... Show More

Great Middle Ground Between DSLR and Point & Shoot
I have experience using both DSLR and point-and-shoot cameras for both personal and business use. But what I have been looking for is a camera that brings the best of both worlds together. I want something that is lightweight and more compact that my larger DSLR but that can produce high quality images. I've had the LUMIX G7 for a few weeks and so far it has fit the bill perfectly! The photos are crisp and bright. And I love having the option to ... Show More

Best 4k for the buck
The 4k recordings coming out of this camera are on par with the GH4. However, you should know that is has more rolling shutter than the GH4. Surprisingly, High iso (1600+) in video is about one stop better than the gh4. So, this is still a great option to alongside the GH4. Also, there is not as much crop into the 4/3 sensor as with the GH4 which is a plus for wide angle lenses. For stills, this camera is blazingly fast. I do not have problems ke... Show More

Great camera, HUGE DESIGN FLAW
The camera is basically perfect......except that when you record for over 5 minutes, it splits your clip up in segments on the memory card.....so you have to go back and make all the clips one if you are syncing audio from another source. Really disappointing. Really big flaw. Canons rcord up to 12 minutes but will do it in one clip, this one records up the 30min in 4k mode but splits the clips into 6 clips on the memory card.

Am enjoying this camera
We bought this camera to travel with, and to take pictures of theatrical performances. For the theatrical performances the silent mode was a big selling point. Very few other cameras of it's type have that. It may be a bit bigger than We wanted for travel, but We were only buying one camera. It is light weight, and not too large. With the 14-42mm lens it is a smaller profile. With a small prime it would be even more so. The camera has a great amo... Show More

Nice for the Price
I come from a broadcasting background, and I I still getting use to the photo camera as a video camera idea. I have been shooting with a Sony Alpha77 for a month or two, and the Sony was great for photos, and ok for video. I plan to use this for video primarily. This camera will take some adjustment because of the small size. I have ordered smaller follow focus gear rings so I can use it on the motorized zoom/focus rig. I find it quick and easier... GH4 for less
This camera is touted as the baby brother to the GH4 and it's right in the ballpark. LCD and EVF is bright and crisp. And like it's bigger sibling, it maintains the CineLike D and CineLike V modes when recording video. Downside? Continuous video can only go up to 30 minutes before it stops and you have to press record again. Also, the camera does get a little warm. I've had a few instances where it wouldn't read the memory card because it was too hot.

Excellent for the price
This camera might not have all the features the GH4 has but it does add a lot of features for the price. I took some excellent pictures yesterday with my Nocticron 42.5 mm lens and the quality and speed of this camera amazing. The only negative thing I have to say about this camera is that the door to the battery feels very cheap and loose and I am wondering if someday I might break it by just closing it.
