Street shooters dream camera
I added the PEN-F to my EM-1 MII AND EM-5 MII Olympus set to use almost exclusively for street shooting. The PEN-F coupled with either my M.Zuiko 17mm or 25mm lens is ideal for discreetness in every environment for this style of shooting. Camera and lens are fast focusing in AF and work very well in low light situations. Pics are sharp and vibrant in color as well as in monochrome. The dials are all designed to make quick adjustments on the fly. ... Show More

Such a great camera
I chose the OLympus after deciding to downsize from my Canon dSLR and ended up choosing between this and the Sony a6300. I rented both to try out before deciding. I found that the Sony wasn't easy to operate and was not intuitive and after a week's use was not convinced. After an hour with this I totally wanted to buy one. It is well proportioned, easy to use, looks great and technically very good. For my photography this was a good choice. I kno... Show More

Powerhouse in a small package
I bought this camera with the 14 - 42 and 40 - 150 lenses for travel. I normally shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 5D, with L series glass from 16mm to 400mm. However, I really did not want to lug that much weight around Europe so was looking for something small and light yet which will produce quality images. From what I have seen so far with limited shooting in NY, this exactly fits the bill. Despite its size, this camera packs an impressive number of features. I also love the retro styling. I will give it a thorough workout in Europe but for now, this has been an excellent purchase.

Better than expected.
Bought this camera for an upcoming trip by motorcycle. I own a Nikon D4 system and love it but needed something smaller yet high quality. This is the funnest camera I have ever used. Image quality is incredible, build quality is like a tank. Monochrome mode is my favorite. Oled viewfinder is fantastic. Only negative is menu system is very daunting at first , after a few days now better. Battery life is meh. The 14-40 2.8 is great all around lens. Comes with the coolest small swiveling bounce flash ever. Got to say I am an Olympus convert after this small bomb of a camera.

Amazing Camera.
The Olympus Pen-F has completely stolen my heart. This camera is meant for the high end enthusiast. All the knobs and dials are in the right places which makes it feel very ergonomic when shooting stills and videos, everything is designed to perfection. When it comes to built quality I can actually compare this camera to the Fuji X Pro-2 very well built, screws are not visible no where on this camera. The only down side I see is if you're trying an Olympus camera for the first time going through their system menu might take a little getting used to.

My Favorite Camera
This is the first piece of gear I've had in more than 50 years that makes me want to shoot more. Shoot all the time. It's a thing of beauty but also a superb creative tool. Post processing is almost a thing of the past with this camera. People on the street ask me about it and are pleased to have their picture taken with it. Though people can't seem to help themselves, you can't compare it in any meaningful way to another camera. It's unique. Unless you are obsessed with 4K video rather than photography, this little jewel is hard to beat.

Great camera
As an amateur photographer, I researched this Olympus Pen-F heavily. Everything I read and heard about this camera is exactly what it is in reality: a great camera! It is built very well, feels great in my hands, operates better than I anticipated. All the dials have been positioned perfectly for me and work with precision. I especially love the front button that allows me to take artsy or monochrome pics. The stabilization in the camera works wonderfully. This is a great camera to walk around the streets with as it is very unobtrusive.

Good but customer svc iffy.
Ive been dealing with B&H probably since its inception and Ive never have an issue until now. I originally ordered the silver, only to discover the camera had almost 800 clicks on the shutter, the factory screen protector removed and the date and time set(New York time). I then spoke to customer service to credit my credit card and would reorder a new one. They said it was against policy to credit a credit card since it was originally ordered from a gift card. Well that gift card was from equipment I traded in! What a crock of horse...

Supeb build quality, beautiful images, great design
The camera is not only beautiful, its built well and works great. I love the array of options on the creative dial with this camera- almost unlimited creative options. Designed well, feels good in the hand, and just a plain joy to use! Dont be deceived by the full frame muscle flexers who constantly push more megapixels and brag about sensor size. The images produced by pros using Olympus cameras are proof as to what can be created. Ive printed large 16x20 and 24x36 with no problem. I know of some who are printing mural sized!

Small Camera - Great Pictures
I went on a photography excursion for about a week with the Olympus Pen F and also a Leica R3. Without a doubt the Pen F was lighter and easier to use and the ease of changing from color to black and white and special filters was a joy. The various lenses [I also have the 17mm] all worked faultlessly . The Leica was noticeably heavier and the results once the film was processed was not nearly as good as those from the Pen F. I would surely recommend the Olympus Pen F to anyone interested in a mirrorless camera.

Best Pen Ever!!!
I was looking for a small, easy to use, feature packed camera for a lot of my street photography work and the Pen F definitely answered the call. Great image quality. I love the fact that I can turn the LCD around to cover it. The dials on the camera are not only functional but add a classic vintage feel to the camera as well. The monochrome 2 shooting mode is probably my favorite feature of the camera as I do a lot of black and white. Excellent price point for what you get. I would recommend checking it out.

Great Camera For Serious Photography
Purchased this camera, to transition from my full frame Digtal SLR. Thus far, I obtained the optional grip, the 12-40mm 1:2.8 Pro Lens and the Olympus 40-150mm 1:2.8 Pro Lens. Love the feel of the camera, it focus quickly with the Olympus Pro lenses. Image quality rivals full frame digital slrs. This is a much smaller package, great for taking along on trips and hiking trails. The Pen F is well constructed, loaded with features and a joy to use. Love the retro look.

An excellant and beautiful camera.
The Pen F takes great pictures but sometimes I think it is too complicated and many of the features will not be used by either the casual photographer or the experienced pro type. Mainly it handles easily and takes excellent pictures using the simplest of setups. I believe the price is too high compared the others on the market. As an aside, I miss not seeing screws on any part of the body.( this being a strange feature to be stated in the advertising. )

A Form and Function Love Affair
The Olympus PEN-F seamlessly blends elegant retro design with the digital technology we expect in a modern camera. Dials and buttons are easy to use. Plenty of info in the viewfinder. If you like to shoot black and white as I do, this camera produces excellent results. The PEN-F is now my exclusive walking around camera. I use Olympus 25mm and 45mm lenses. Eventually will purchase a M. Zuiko 40-150 mm 2.8 Pro Lens. Fun camera with professional results.

Mostly great
I bought a Pen F from the reliable B&H. I bought the black body and the 12mm, 25mm and 45mm lenses all black. My one gripe is that Olympus does not mention that they do NOT include a lens shade. Instead they choose to gouge their customers for an additional fee to purchase PLASTIC shades. I must say that the camera otherwise is still a beauty to behold and use. I simply wish manufacturers would give their customers a tad more than just basics.

Outstanding IQ...but too complex
I love the M43 Oly's for street work, but with one exception. They are too complex for on-the-fly manual shooting. I hope Olympus make a little M43 in the style of their vintage half-frame film cams. Back in the proverbial day all we had to worry about was shutter speed, focus and aperture. Look at what we have now, if you blow on them the touch screen gets messed up. By the time you get the menu adjustment done, the shot is gone.

Great for Monochrome Photography
This camera is a pleasure to use. The lenses (Panasonic 20 mm and 42.5 mm) seem to be sharp corner to corner when 8x10 prints viewed. The use of buttons, levers and dials for features instead of having to dig through the menu is especially nice. The camera is a little awkward to hold without a handgrip, but the ECG4 optional grip and a wrist strap solved that problem. And the camera is so nice just to look at.

Wonderful Street Camera
I love street photography and the work of photographers such as Ralph Gibson, Elliot Erwitt and Gene Smith. I need a camera light enough to carry all day. The Pen F is perfect harking back to the analog days of the original Pen F. The menu is a little deep and the camera is loaded with buttons and dials. But, once set up, it's a joy to use and the 12mm and 25mm lenses are beautifully sharp and contrasty.

Many reasons to buy
I honestly feel I will have this camera many years. It feels good in-the hand, and paired with Olympus lenses, takes incredibly sharp photos. The lens glass, ergonomics, build quality, and performance are all pro quality. Look up the Olympus Visionaries for examples. I love using this camera- its high quality and FUN to use. Lots of in camera creative options!

Great Camera!
I am really enjoying shooting with the Olympus Pen F. Excellent image quality, great ergonomics, and just an all around delight to use. Buttons and dials all in the right place and very little need to go into the menu. Unlike many others, I don't find the menu confusing at all. Laid out in sensible sections, explanations as to what does what.

It's a beauty
Great images. But it hunts to aquire images. This in a studio setting and street. The increase to 20 mp and articulated screen was enticing. Traded in older mft. Also I would have to update my computer for this version of raw. I bought an em1 and I am enjoying it. Love Olympus (now I have 2 em 1s) BnH was more helpful then Olympus.

It's great.
It's great. I'm getting shots I wouldn't otherwise be getting carrying the heavy stuff around. I'm not ready to get rid of my Nikon 750 but I'm using it for some of the same shots. Be nice if it had dual slots for memory and back up. Initially got it for a travel camera but I think I'm going to be using it more than I thought.

Beautiful, powerful, versatile camera!
I use this for wide variety of stuff including product, macro and casual shooting. Surprising amount of power in a small, attractive package. The 50MP high res mode is phenomenal for commercial product work. I use the Olympus 60mm macro lens and Helicon Focus for focus stacking, and Photoshop for general editing.
