definitely I would recommend.

Feb 4, 2016

I bought it mainly for Landscape & Architecture photography. attached to EM5 mark II make them great combo. this lens is super sharp from corner to corner. I don't shoot autofocus but I had my chances once or tow and found the focus fast and accurate. build quality is as advertised superb and splash/dust proof. ( believe me I have tested it out at the beach.( got hit by a small wave), the lens survived and still functioning but my dear em5 mark i... Show More

Beautiful and straight

Very nice wide lens for micro 4/3 cameras. I highly recommend this lens! I love the way the flares look through the glass. Much better than other lenses I have tried. It's very sharp and has nice color.

M.ZUIKO Digital ED 7-14mm f/2.8 PRO Lens

Jan 25, 2016

lens is well built, works well at minimizing any wide angle aberration typical of this angle of view. well balanced on em1. super depth of field with focus bracketing and wider apertures. and for interior work the best. lines are straight and if needed less cropping for perspective correction.

Really good, but costly

Smooth handling and sharp especially around the center. Wide and pretty fast. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is high price.

Gives with one hand and takes away with the other

Nov 13, 2015

I have been using the Panasonic 7-14 till I bought this lens. The main thing I wanted was the extra stop. A lot of the time I used the Pany on my stabilizer. The Zuiko is much heavier. I can deal with that but, what is a time consumer is that changing the focal length changes the balance of the stabilizer quite dramatically, so that's a problem. At 2.8 (the extra stop) the edges are softish. So really I am thinking of selling it and going back to the Panasonic. The lens is sharp and if you are printing, the Zuiko is better, but I am more interested in the lens for video than anything else.

Fast, Crisp, and Clear

Nov 5, 2015

I am a real estate photographer and use this for both still and video shots. I also have the Panasonic 7-14 and bought the Olympus because it is a faster lens, which I need especially in dark basements (Why people insist on painting their basements dark gray and then using 40watt bulbs is beyond me :) The lens is also great at eliminating chromatic aberrations especially I am shooting into sunny windows. I stop the lens down to f5.6 - f7.1 which ... Show More

Another Incredible Pro Lens from Olympus

Nov 4, 2015

Built like a tank with great optics. Perfect complement to the other two Pro zoom lenses from Olympus. Fast autofocus and amazing close focus ability for a wide angle lens. Actually better in the corners than the full frame Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 lens I used to shoot with on my Nikon.

Excellent and Fun. No regrets.

Oct 5, 2015

I purchased this lens on a whim just before a trip to Japan. Here is what I think: 1) Build quality feels excellent. Heavy in the hands, substantial piece of glass, zoom feels exactly as you'd expect. 2) No (or nominal) degradation in output across all focal lengths and apertures- very consistent. 3) Big fisheye looking outer lens means you can't put a filter/protector over it. Lens hood though provides adequate coverage as workaround. 4) Fast an... Show More

Wow is it wide

Sep 9, 2015

Using this with Olympus E-PL7 it is without a doubt the finest ultra wide zoom I've owned. Very fast and clean image quality equal to fixed lens. The Fall Of Man is my photography theme, ruins and rust as nature reclaims everything in the end. Landscapes and interiors is the best use for ultra wide lenses. Too much info leads to cluttered photos so powerful shots require lots of care and attention to what is filling the view. Faces distort like a... Show More

Fantastic wide angle!

Jul 31, 2015

I got my new 7-14mm lens last week and have already had some time on it. The build quality is fantastic, typical Olympus PRO quality. The images are sharp and the AF is very quiet. I am really looking forward to getting out with it more but it is a winner. I have not had the opportunity to try the Panasonic 7-14mm, but given the small difference in cost, I would opt for the Olympus every time. The only thing I don't like, which is typical for the wide angle and not just an Olympus thing, is that you cannot put a filter on it.
