After nearly 9 months of research, and narrowing my choice down to the Lenovo P72, Dell 7730 and ZBook 17 G5, I went with the ZBook. Based on my internet research, Lenovo and Dell both had more system issues, including Thunderbolt issues and throttling under heavy load. Worth the wait
My prior experience is with Dell Precision M6600, M6800 and Lenovo Thinkpad P51 mobile workstations. Thus far, this HP is incredible. It is the best designed workstation that I have used: from the aluminum chassis to the glass trackpad, under-hinge vents, to the tool-less internal compartment - it is obvious that this redesign was well thought out.
