I Like It!
I wanted a 16:10 ratio and chose this monitor. I used this model before at work and really liked it. Ive calibrated mine and find it plenty sharp with accurate colors. I chose this model over the newer one only because I wanted both VGA and DVI ports (vs HDMI & DP) and preferred not to use adapters. I also liked that it has Display Port for future use. Other than connectivity & USB speed (which I dont use anyway), the 2 Dells have similar specs. I have two computers connected and find it relatively easy to switch between them.

U24 could be good for You, Too
Shipping was on time, arrived great condition. Easy setup of devices (I purchased a pair of them). The visual aspect are as the stats indicate. Ergonomics are very good--front touch controls (no digging under the monitor) easy access USB ports, and stands that move low enough to be the actual proper height on a desktop (bye bye crane neck). For the price, good value ! Do recommend you give them a look.

Fine All-Around Monitor
This is truly an excellent product for my purposes, which is a combination of word-processing, spreadsheets and some hobby photo editing. It has great connectivity with a variety of ports available. One minor quibble is that it could use one DVI port for some graphics cards that lack an HDMI port. Update for my review several months ago
I gave the monitor 3.5 stars before. The color is good, resolution is about the same as my other 1920x1200 24" monitor by Acer (model P241w - probably one of the best back then). The Dell only has 2 ports. The Dell has a slight tendency toward green while the Acer has a tendency towards red. The latter does excellently with a 21-step gray scale, while the Dell has more contrast and is not as even on the steps as the Acer and makes the darkest two... Show More

Very disappointed
I found that the contrast was not that good, I could not get rich colors, and when whites were displayed they had a blueish cast that I could not adjust out. I tried a different brand monitor with the same video card and it did not have those problems, so it's not the video card. Maybe I got a bad copy, but it's not useable for me.

Almost too big!
I received my new monitor and my wife tried to steal it so I ordered a second! We really like the size, perfect for her and large for me but I want to keep it as I don't need my glasses to see it clearly. Very easy to raise and lower and turn to the side when needed and a snap to put together and hook up!

It is what it says!
This is monitor is ULTRA SHARP! I look at a lot of prints and schematics for my job every day, and this monitor really does the job. It is a little intimidating to take this giant monitor out of the box, but now, I wouldn't settle for anything less!

Pretty Good, but ....
Some sing very high pitched praise after barely unwrapping things. I don't do that. This monitor is good but it's short of what I'd hoped for or wanted from a different one I'd kept my eye on but which disappeared before the holidays. Very clear, sharp, and color correct monitor.
I've been told not to use this monitor for gaming due to ghosting. I don't game. I work with photo's and video. The color and sharpness is outstanding with this monitor.

Great Monitor, Reasonably Priced
Crystal clear image, no glare (my last monitor required me to close all window shades in the room), and reasonably priced. Easy set-up (although I always wish they'd make the cords a little longer to fit into my office configuration). Best price I found online!

I would recommend this product to anyone.
The image is excellent, the amount of details I am now able to see in pictures as well as videos makes me wonder why it's taken me so long to switch to a better monitor like this one.

Great Monitor
Not much to do except plug it in and let er'rip! Excellent colors but as with all monitors it must be fine tuned using the Windows monitor adjustment software. For example mine had too much green right out of the box, and also needed some brightness and contrast adjustment. As I use this monitor for photos it has to be perfect.

Great Monitor
This is a great monitor. I like the fact that it is 1920 X 1200 rather then 1920 X 1080. Much better viewing. I'm very glad I bought this monitor..

Good product, good sales process and fufillment by B&H
I am a heavy 24/7 computer user as I am an investor/trader. I am not however a gamer or a streaming video watcher. I can only say that I bought one of these, liked it, and bought another. I am considering buying two more. I use multiple monitors. I am not, however, a monitor maven. While I do believe that what you look at all day is important, I don't spend a lot of time counting pixels, even though I am an avid Adobe user also. B&H was great.

Photography is a main hobby of mine and I had gotten to the point where I wanted to calibrate my old Dell monitor in preparation to printing some of my images. Excellent text and image quality.
Excellent value for the money. Text is very sharp. Would recommend that you drop the color temperature to the next notch below 6500 K. It is more accurate color, not so blueish. Also set the contrast and brightness settings to 75%. Picture images are wonderful.

Top notch. Thin bezel, great picture, glare proof, solid and adjustable stand. Keep the 24 16 x 10 (1920 x 1200) resolution around. We developers need that to see the most text on the screen.

More Bang for your Buck than you Expect!
This is my second one of these. If you're in the marked for a new monitor this is the one to get. No 4k and STILL it's a top performer. As soon as you're up and running you'll thank yourself for buying it.

Great monitor for everyday office use.
I bought this monitor for everyday office use. I do not use it for media management, gaming or video streaming so lack of HDMI is no big deal for me. The image quality is terrific and I love it.

Dell Ultra Sharp montiors - EXCELLENT!
The U2414M 24 UltraSharp monitors are excellent. I use 2 at work, and bought 2 for myself at home. My son, a history professor, was visiting and connected his laptop to my home monitors. He liked them so much that I bought these 2 for him to use in his home office. This was his 42nd birthday present. A gift he loves! Using two 24 monitors of this quality is amazing.
