Interesting but flawed design
It is a good design, but I find myself not liking it as much as others seem. It looks cute, for sure, but is also quite obviously flawed. Pros: (1) Convenience and mobility. No need to wear a headset or handhold a mic. (2) Sound quality much better than built-in microphones. (3) Built-in soundcard (A/D converter) with quite good quality. Good for the casual user
I am a science teacher, and I occasionally make video recordings for my class. I am not an audiophile. I have tried a variety of analog microphones purchased from local electronic stores and none of them are better than the microphones built into my MacBook. Excellent portable microphone
Things I was looking for in a microphone when I bought the Snowflake were: portability + decent sound quality. I don't really have a permanent desk yet and I travel so I was really wanted a compromise that was light and designed to be moved, but still had great sound. Maybe ok for laptop, unsatisfactory for desktop

Decent little USB Mic
I recently purchased the Snowflake for Skype calls at work. It is great for this purpose and very easy to set up. All you have to do is plug it into a computer, and it's ready to go! While this is by no means a high-end studio mic, it is great for podcasting. The only con I can think of so far is the positioning of the cable input on the mic itself. Nice quality Mic
I record videos for online use and I find that most of the mics built into the majority of the webcams out there are insufficient in a lot of ways. This mic that I've been testing is a great alternative. It isolates and is good at 3-4 feet away with voice and guitar. But with most hardware, you have to also have good software to be able to use this mic to its full potential. Just one negative might be the flexbility of placement of the item, but if you can find a stable level area, it should work fine. Definitely worth the price.

Good sound quality - effortless install
Oovoo (VoIP), I am told it is quite clear. Just plug in USB (either 1.1 or 2.0); on my Mac opened preferences, sound and Blue Snowflake was there as USB. Click on and adjust the volume - that's it. Nice stand allows mic to be oriented. Seems to pick up sound almost 180 degree. I use under Apple studio monitor (use the 1.1 USB port on rear of monitor) - monitor is too thick to mount Snowflake. I will use on Macbook Pro laptop soon. Cannot think of disadvantage.

Quality Mic
The Snowflake was the perfect fit for my new Mac Pro. The simple stylish look fits in with the slick monitor and is not too intrusive. Because it is a directional mic there are no feedback issues with the speakers. I must admit I do not know how it sounds at the receiving end of the Skype connection but I have not had any complaints. One more plus is that the USB connection means no batteries are needed.

Siri
So far, I've only used the mic for Siri on my 2013 Mac Pro desktop computer, which didn't come with a microphone. The Snowflake works perfectly. It's attractive, doesn't take up a lot of space, and does what I want it to. I have no opinion on the quality of recordings it might produce or how well it balances on a laptop, but if you want a very decent mic for your desktop, you won't be disappointed.

One of my less satisfying purchases
I've purchased 5 Blue mics altogether, and this is the least satisfying. Sound quality is competitive, but mounting is awkward and clumsy on both laptops and desk machines. Go for the Blue Mic or the Yetl instead. If you need a clip-on laptop mic, it's hard to beat the Samson Go mic--sounds find, clips on and stays in place, is half the weight and size of the Blue Snowflack.,

Great sound for price, okay construction
This was to replace the same mike we got for my daughter 1 1/2 years ago. She took the first one off to school with her, and it was abused until it fell apart. The construction is good for the price, she's just hard on equipment. The sound is great considering the size and price range. And it works with the iPad 2 and camera connector as well. It's a definite must buy.

Easy to use, great price
This is probably the easiest product in the world to use. You just plug it in and record, it's as easy as that! I bought the Snowflake to record the music my brother and I play together. I ended up using it to record voice as well. The Snowflake works great for both applications. I was looking for a cheap, easy to use microphone, and I found both in the Blue Snowflake.

Small but mighty
I wanted a small mic to record my guitar with but didn't want the whole interface and cables etc etc. I'm limited for space when it comes to a home recordings setup. The Snowflake is perfect! Its sounds good and is sensitive as it should be. Do wish it had a direct monitoring headphone jack, But I can work around that to avoid latency.

Great product! I love it
This mic is fool-proof. It delivers everything it promised. I bought it to do quality voice-overs with my laptop on the run and it totally delivers. It gives great quality sound and works instantly on both MAC and PC without having to install software drivers. It also works great with Audacity, the free audio recording software.

More than I expected
...The snowflake is bigger than I thought it would be and the base is half metal. The microphone swivels so you can point it toward the person to be recorded, which makes it perfect for recording class lectures. The snowlfake picks up all the sounds in the room very well and the speaker is well heard. Great value for the money.

It Does What it Says it Does.
I needed a simple plug-and-play mic with good quality recording sound. This one fit the bill. The price was right and I definitely was not disappointed. I would recommend it for pod casts, video training, voice overs on basic videos. I like that the stand doubles as storage for the cord so you don't have to keep track of it.

Great quality add to gear bag
I use it with my MacAir and MacSpeech Dictate. It hangs right on the screen or mounts easily anywhere you set it. It's a quality piece of work both physically and how it sounds. Mac effortless, neat, cord wraps inside its own housing when stowed in the gear bag. If it were a tad smaller it would be six stars.

awesome mic for pc
i personally use this mic for commentarys for warcraft and it works awesome...its practically as big as a 2 by 2 inc square, and connects via usb. Looking for high quality mic for sound for pc without breaking the bank...then this is it...i brought it on sale so that was also a plus...

Clear quality mic
I am much impressed with the usb microphone. I use it with a mac and it's plug and play right from the box. Voice is clear and good quality. It is versatile and can be mounted on your monitor or just sit on your desk. It also folds up to a compact size for easy storage. Good buy.

Nothing flaky about this little gem!
100% compatible with Leopard OS and Garageband. Plug it into the computer's USB port, select as input in System Preferences Sound and you're good to go. Picks up my classical guitar very well AND, it's fashion co-ordinated with my iMac. Very happy. Glad I waited.

flawless and cool looking
I plugged it in, and was up and running. Used to record a meeting, right onto my laptop. The fact that the mic rotates to stand up is helpful, and tucks in the body of the piece makes it easy for travel. Secondary use: speaking to Rosetta Stone language software.

Very Impressed!
We are using this for podcasts and for recording audio into Garageband and iMovie. Our laptop immediately recognized the mic and it worked like a charm. Great pick-up and clarity in recording. And very, very portable. Very simple to use.
