They look great and feel fine but the sound sucks bad, absolutely terrible, and thats what really matter here right. Got on sale but not even worth that. I would say pass on these get a sony they make the same product but sound 100% better.

These headphones in my opinion are specifically designed for mixing, to really get a clear listen on how balanced your mixes are. It helped me out on figuring the balance of my bass and kick drum parts that my monitors couldn't help me to determine. I feel its a great product for mixing, but not to be used for the everyday enjoyment of listening to music like its advertised. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pro that picks up every nuance, not great for mixing but great for listening... Tascam TH-200x are not those kind of listening headphones. Their for Mixing/Recording/Balancing only...Great product for its use. ... More

These sound pretty good. I use them for music on my phone and with an electronic drum kit (Roland Club-V). So far, they work well. The bass is decent, but where these shine is in their clarity...not muddy at all! Even at higher volume, the highs and mids aren't harsh. That said, I wouldn't use them for recording...the sound does bleed a bit, so standing close to a good mic might be an issue. However, for a simple recording (just scratching down some ideas), these would be fine. Overall, you won't be disappointed!

I knew I needed flat headphones for when I record. These were a brand I knew have been around in the industry for awhile now. The Clarity is perfect for this use. I'm able to make adjustments in my guitar's tone that I didn't notice before. I don't know how long the cord actually is. looks smaller than listed but longest cord I have and I very much need that to stay out of the way when playing. Easy adapter. Seriously super easy. I would use it for professional recording.

The headphone were defective , the left channel had a severe buzz/crackling which rendered them useless. I returned them to the store, but the could not replace them, as both stores in town were out of stock. I was told that I would receive a new pair delivered to my home. I am currently waiting on that delivery. I will let you know after they arrive. Blessings!

Just received these headphones, and overall they seem pretty good. The packaging was very cheap looking but with that said the headphones them self have a nice look to them. The sound cancellation works pretty good, and the sound is clear. With that said, the low end isn't really all there. I mean you can hear it of course, but it's very faint compared to how it would actually sound in a car or through monitor speakers. I'm glad I was able to get the mm I sale, cause they are not worth the full retail price.

I got these headphones as part of my keyboard package. I will say that they do indeed work nicely. They have good sound and they heavy (to me, at least). I use them at times when I'm practicing at night since I live in an apartment. My only issue with them is that despite the good sound it has, it has its limits. Around a certain volume point, the headphones will get a scratchy sound in them every now and again. Its not super noticeable since I don't care for small things during practice...but I'm aware it may bug someone else. ... More

I used my new phones as soon as they came in the mail, and I'm completely happy with them. First thing I noticed was how feather-light they are; evidently some improvements have been made since I bought my last pair, LONG ago- didn't realize how heavy my old ones were! I bought two pair: one for a friend and one for myself. The sound quality is more than adequate for my uses: music lessons on YouTube and elsewhere, and for using the computer/watching videos & movies at night without disturbing anyone's sleep.

Based on glowing reviews, got these on a great sale from GC. Thought they would make an excellent extra set of studio headphones. Played them though my Mackie 24/8 mixing board and compared with Sony MDR-7506 and two sets of Sennheiser headphones. Unfortunately, the TH-200X Studio Headphones sounded very boomy with too much bass response when played flat. The midrange was OK but the high ends were very poor compared to my reference headphones. Not worth returning them so I am glad I did not pay full price! Maybe I got a defective set?

I had these headphones for about a month and the jack got a short in it. I bent the wire at the jack and the left side (the side that shorted), started working again so I taped the wire over to keep contact. Finally that didn't work anymore so I cut off the jack and added a thick gauge wire with a 3mm jack and solved the problem and gained more length to my cord. Good sounding headphones. No complaints there. Did find out if the wires have any problems with contact or connection the sound distorted somewhat.

I used these to monitor and reference recordings. I Tried using them to mix but I believe the low end and perhaps other frequency areas are hyped, after mixing on them then listening to mixes on other playback devices I was disappointed. These headphones do sound good for listening purposes though. My only complaint is that the cord is not durable at all. If you use these s much as I did then within a couple months you will have weak signals or drop outs or missing audio from L and R.

Purchased mainly for audio (personal studio) DAW computer use. Playing through an effects processor, amplifier, etc, after hours avoiding noise levels that may interfere with others. Great for listening to music also. Don't know about how rugged they are, but appear to be stout. Cord is almost 10' long.

I use it for producing music. I need to here exactly what im creating on all frequencies and wow this does a great job all around. Cord does not unplug thats the only negative i have. Buy on the stupid deal of the day and you will not regret it.

I take really good care of my gear so I was very disappointed to have the phones short out after only a few months of use. Granted, they were not very expensive but still: They should have lasted much, much longer. I have a pair of Sennheisers that I've used since 1982. 'Should have stuck with a winner. No more Tascam gear for me.

Great great sale from Guitar Center on Black Friday at 1/3 of what they usually cost so I couldn't pass up the chance to buy six of these babies for my studio so everyone gets to hear the same sound when we rehearse. It makes mixing so much easier. Lightweight and great sound, should serve me well. Didn't give it 5 stars since I feel the cord and and 1/4 inch plug ( which is really and 1/8th inch with an adapter) was a bit low qaulity so let's see how they hold up. Very happy with my purchase ... More

I normally wouldn't comment as I'm not in a position to rate objectively, I have hearing problems where I have to boost the volume about 70% to my right ear, but since I was asked... These phones can be cranked loud enough so that even at the highly increased volume, I can keep the distortion to a minimum with a little creative balance and equalization.. So my opinion, such as it is, rates positive. And with a SDOD, the price is unbeatable.
