When it arrived, the screen was dented on top. I've owned it for about four months now. I recorded into a direct box with marginal clearness. Used processors on the front end hoping to warm it up. No luck. It worked fairly well to capture my acoustic guitar, but really let me down on vocals. I would not recommend this mic for recording any type of vocals except maybe as an overall distance mic for groups.

Great Microphone, designed for Male Vocals. Easy setup, takes phantom power. I would highly recommend using a Pre-Amp with a Graphic Equalizer along with a pad to control sound. Mixing is easy, sound is crisp and clear and comes in ready to mix!

Got this a couple months back, pretty clear, very good for the price, vocals are crisp in the right setting. Good mic for starting up a studio.

I am incredibly impressed by these mics. I've been using them for years, and they just manage to create such a natural and warm sound for any application - vocals, drum overheads, acoustic instruments, anything! And for about $50 used, you really can't go wrong. These mics have no business sounding this good for the price.

In expensive but decent to handle wide variety of sound.

I did not expect the mic clamp would not fit my standard musicians gear mic stand. Because of this I am not yet able to use as intended.

Microphone was dead out of the box. No signal comes from it when plugged in to an interface with phantom 48v power. Microphone upon further research is just junk. terrible quality sound (tinny), poorly made and completely unreliable.

I bought this mic a while ago cause it was cheap. It's just ehh. The quality is crisp, but nothing special. It sounds good but most of that is just attributed to the fact that its a condenser, period. Its the only Sterling mic I've ever used so I can't speak for their higher models, but I wouldn't recommend this mic.
