The mic pre in this unit is awesome. It's quiet and works beautifully with my TLM-103. I love the power options of using the USB2 interface OR using a micro USB connector with a USB charger. If you're using your iPad with this interface, you can use your Apple charger to power this interface while you input to your iPad. I've stopped using my Apogee One in favor of this unit due to the One having some occasional digital noise issues and what I felt was too tubby of a bottom end. The UR-12 is cleaner in A/B comparisons with the One. I am one happy UR-12 customer and HIGHLY recommend this interface. ... More

Bought this to record on the go, and work out demos before heading to the studio. It worked fine (with poor sound quality though) for a little while, but then the device began to have issues and wasn't connecting to my computer anymore. I looked this up and found that this was a common issue and on their own site and forums it had never been resolved. I tried to return it to them (only owned it for 2 months) but they had pretty terrible customer service and a response time that makes you wonder if they value the customer. I would strongly advise you buy another interface considering new units breaking is an issue for them. You can get the same thing by Behringer but cheaper, wish I would have done that to begin with. ... More

I bought this to upgrade my old interface. It was clipping out words. After I tweaked everything I knew to tweak and watched YouTube videos, I had to let an engineer look at it. It had to look up the specs and adjust the settings internally for bit rate speed and then it worked perfectly. It works perfectly now, but it was not a pure plug-n-play for me.

Bought this to use with a CAD E300-2...Worked fine in PT for maybe a week. Then I noticed it would cut out. I have 12 GB Ram and plenty of processing power. I get no lag when working with 4K video in Premiere Pro, so this thing has some kind of malfunction. Steinberg isn't really that great. Go with Avid or another brand and drop $200-$300 on a GOOD interface, or fight this one and redo alot of takes in the studio. Garbage.

Bought this on a rec from a GC salesman. Will never do that again. This thing cuts out all the time while recording and playing back. Steinberg appears to care less.

This was my first audio interface. What a poor choice. This thing never worked from day one. It cuts out all the time and has many clicking noises. Just read all the other reviews. This is one of the worst products I have ever owned.

Horrible crackling noises that increase until you hit the "power off" red button on any of the amps or accessories. The crackling fades for about ten seconds, then builds up again. Really severe latency issues as well.

I use this for recording. I don't run it thru any tubes or anthing that isn't a plugin. Sounds great. Transportable and nice looking with a metal shell.

This interface is excellent, it records very clear. No flaws like buzzing or undesirable noises. Its very compact and feels very sturdy and top quality. I would definitely recommend this. product.

The pre-amp for the mic input tames a tube amp well enough to pull off serviceable vocals. This is also great for getting quick ideas down on an iPad. It's built like a tank.
